That is very kind of you, Jo. Delighted to hear we were of help and even more so to hear you went to Torla and Alquézar. Two absolutely delightful destinations unknown to most overseas visitors (they are very popular with Spanish and French tourists). All the very best to you!

Thank you, Jane. We try to be as helpful as we can! In the particular case of these road trip it was important to highlight the months of the year, as snow and road closures can be a problem during winter. Kind regards!

Hi Tony, your videos are excellent. I was wondering - which village is photographed on the desktop wallpaper of your computer at the beginning of this video? Is it Ainsa? Also, do you have a recommended mirador or other location from which to get a view like that?
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The village is Aínsa indeed. There is no mirador as such to get that view, just take the road that goes to Guaso (part of the road trip) to see that view.

Hello tony. thankyou for the awesome content. We travelling through spain and portugal for 11 weeks this 2023 summer. Coming from toulouse where we pick up car and most likely through vielha first. We would love to complete a lot of this trip 1 and finish in zaragoza (l must admit to your recommendation😊), then onto rioja. We are hoping for some advice on where to join this route if coming from toulouse and finishing in zaragoza.🙏
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Жыл бұрын
You could cross the border through the Bielsa tunnel and join the road trip in Aínsa. From the final stop of the final day, you would drive to Zaragoza. All the best.

What a fantastic resource ! For us Brits, Reus airport is close by, so trips to Tarragona and Zaragoza can be included. Is this trip just as effective if done in reverse ?
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal10 ай бұрын
Hi Graham, Ryanair flies to Zaragoza from Stansted, in case that's convenient to you. No, there trip is not effective if done in reverse, when you watch the videos you will learn one of the most spectacular stretches of road works on a one way system.
@grahamfjlaws610810 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the reply and advice. We live near Manchester, so Reus is the more convenient option, and gives us the opportunity to add Zaragoza, and to end the holiday at Tarragona on the coast. We are fortunate enough to be able to take three holidays a year, so in 2025 we will be using your Lanzarote recommendations in March, and this Spain recommendation in June. Thanks again.

Hi Tony, this is very useful…and timely, as I’m planning to rent a camper van for a week at the end of July and head towards Jaca/the Pyrenees with my girlfriend and son. Your 4 day itinerary looks great (we might extend it to 6!) but just wondering if you think the route is suitable for a camper van? Muchas gracias!
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shane, you will find quite a few camper vans around, some of the roads are quite narrow (as you will see on the videos), so it will all depend on how comfortable you feel driving a camper van along them. Make sure you book your van as soon as you can, there is a serious shortage of rented vehicles this summer. Un saludo.

Dear sir, Hola!! Namaste from India. I am getting married in few months and planning my honeymoon in Spain in January 2021. We love roadtrips so I came across your channel while searching about it and fell in love with your channel. Recently we watched your mountains of Aragon series and liked it a lot. You have specifically mentioned best time to visit is from june to oct. But we would still like to know the possibility of visiting this place in January. And if it is not advisable can you please suggest some other place? We will prefer to avoid coasts and beaches as we live in coastal area only. Thank you once again for such nice videos.
@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal3 жыл бұрын
Good morning and be very welcome to the channel. Road trips in Spain in January are a bit tricky, because it is winter and there is always the risk of finding snow or ice on the roads, mostly in the interior of the country. In the specific case of the road trip through the mountains of Aragón, some of the roads we show in the video are closed during winter. The safest places for a road trip in January are in the south of Spain, in the region of Andalusia. But, like I said, it's tricky everywhere. Bear in mind also that in January it gets dark very early, at around 5 pm. Our suggestion - but don't want to interfere with your idea at all! - is to abandon the idea of a road trip in January and focus rather on some of the major cities of Spain. They are fine regardless of the time of the year. All the best!

Those are not lands of Aragon. Aragon has lands beyond OLD scandinavia on a planet I will leave unknown, North of the seventh drop is my first land of Aragon. It was up on 5k earlier. It has ancient places that LOOK golden and bronzen with cannons. It does not however look like Spain or Portugal. Spain will be paying reparative dues for the liabel in court shortly.
