Silly guy, you mean you really believe your viewers only show up specifically for you to hike the Wainrights? What about your scintillating waffling, your zen expertise at the wheel, your adorable humour, and the beautiful UK landscape? I'm grateful for you braving cold, sideways rain, high winds, wet roads, foot pain all to bring yet another stellar video to my screen. It's too cold and slippery here in Canada to venture out. Taking a road-trip through the UK countryside with you as company, is a Godsend. 😊💚🙏 Thank You, Glenn.

Hello Glenn. Stop apologizing. True fans will follow you on hikes, in your van, wherever! There are other channels that combine hiking, van camping with cooking in their videos. The most important thing is that you get better and back out there doing what you love. So don't stop making the videos. Love the little Finn on your van's dashboard ❤ Looking forward to your next video!

As a proud yorkshireman, born in whafedale and who has hiked virtually every summit in the dales, its great to see it in the spotlight. The dales, the howgills and the lake district have their own unique awesomeness and can't really be compared.. I'm just pleased i live near them all and walk them almost weekly!! That continuous band from Skipton to Keswick is the finest in the world.

Last May I walked the Dales Way, which follows the River Wharfe along the upper Wharedale valley (including Kettlewell). One of the evenings I stayed a little further up the valley in a pub called the White Lion in a very small village called Craye. My pal and I quickly became friends with a lovely American couple. The American lady seemed absolutely in love with the Yorkshire Dales and couldn’t have been more charming and polite about her holiday. I’m pleased you enjoy Glenn’s videos Daniel.

In my opinion, I love your hiking vids. I love how you show us your path with a red line on the map. I admire your knowledge about the areas you are in and your breathtaking photography. That being said, I love your road trippin’ content even more. It gives me a peek at your lighthearted personality and your very humorous wit. I still remember your beach road trip video and how you were so infatuated with those meat pies. The only two things that I miss about the hiking vids is, Finn of course, and your greetings to the sheep, that only you can say in that voice “hi herdies”.

Hello Glenn, Your friends in North Idaho across the pond, here…Although we enjoy the Wainwright videos, we really enjoy your “walk about videos” around England and north as well. We watch because we feel we are right there with you, and could sit and talk for hours with you! You have a lovely sense of humor, and when Finn is with you she adds to the fun. Do not worry about the delay in the Wainwright videos, just tuning in for a relaxing “chat” with you really blesses our souls. As for your ingrown toenail, OUCH! But when all is said and done you will be right back with the “ herdies” and deer, trekking up and down the hills, enjoying God’s creation. In the meantime please know that your fans watch these videos because of YOU and your great commentary…the mountains, sunsets and sunrises are just icing on the cake (As we say here in America) Take care of your toe and you will be back hiking the Wainwright’s again! Sincerely, Mike and Barbara

Yes, HTW is your channels bread and butter but maybe this period will give you some ideas on what to do once you’ve completed them all for the channel. You could always do some reviews over the Xmas period too. I bought a OMM chest pod ages ago thanks to seeing you with it and wow, it’s a game changer and I don’t think I can hike without it now! Great to see the parts of the Dales where we camped with our kids 40yrs ago and more. Memories eh! Janet’s Foss is magical when a little less frantic. It normally has a blue pool beneath it. It’s best approached from the other direction too. In the mid 70s we camped in Kettlewell in a friendly farmer’s field, with cows in it, next to the graveyard. He did think we were rather odd, backpacking, still a bit rare in those days. Climbed Pen-y-ghent from Hawes, our second cottage stay around ‘83. We were getting a bit soft by then or the kids were getting peed off with camping. Wish I was fit enough to do it all now, but I can see it all thanks to the wonders of BC

What a cracking video! Since I live in North Yorkshire I have been to Malham, Kettlewell, Hawes & Ribblehead many times and camped at or very near the first three for weekends or (in the case of Kettlewell) for a couple of weeks several times over the years. Many memories of having a few pints at The Racehorses or the Blue Bell Inn at Kettlewell (& the Kings Head) before having a BBQ back at the van. We were at the Hawes Creamery/Dairy a couple of months ago - CANNOT BEAT Wensleydale Cheese! My wife reminded me that when camping relatively near at Sleningford (Wensleydale near West Tanfield) she and friends drove then walked to Malham Tarn. She was probably there at Sleningford Watermill for three weeks but on one of them I had to return to work Mon- Fri whilst she remained at camp with friends and I came back at the weekend. She telephoned me at work from the top of Malham Tarn with her legs dangling over the top! She was reminded of this as you were showing the pictures from the top. Actually this was not a good video but a GREAT ONE! Thanks.

Hope that your foot is not giving you more gyp after scampering all the way across to Malham Cove! I'm glad to see the fabulous Yorkshire Dales getting some air time on your channel, as a Teesdale resident I definitely approve. However, my suggestion for a future Van Road Trip would be the truly beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. If you like church architecture then Lastingham has an ancient little church with a crypt fit for an Abbey, Goathland village has the steam railway and quite a few lovely waterfalls a limp away from a good pub or two, and Robin Hoods Bay on the coast is full of history and dramatic coastal scenery. And you are almost definitely likely to have wild and inclement weather anytime in December or January, so right up your street!

Hi Glenn, wonderful video mate, the Yorkshire Dales are as beautiful as the lake district in their own way. No need to apologise at all. I'm heading in to the Forest of Bowland on Wednesday for something a little different. Yes the hills are not high and craggy but they are brilliant nevertheless. Thanks for sharing your adventure, it was epic as ever. All the best Dave

It’s not the Lakes for sure but still thoroughly enjoyed the “wafflidge” and the scenery of the Dales. I explored this area from a week’s stay in Settle back in late September. I had planned to head Hawes but got sidetracked and headed to Dent. Enjoyed the Yorkshire three peaks. Great walk (and) easy from Grassington to Kettlewell. We caught the community bus home outside the village store. There’s a cracking walk from Settle over to Malham Tarn and cove then bus back to Settle (with a pint or two in the Buck). Walks from reeth along to Gunnerside and Keld over the old mines (coast to coast) are very interesting. Take care. My youngest went thru similar toenail issues and it is excruciating how annoying and painful this is. Take and don’t worry about your followers we’ll still be here watching.

Don't worry about the Wainrights , just get your foot / toenail sorted ! They will still be there when you're "limp free" mate ! I enjoy all your videos regardless of the settings - keep up the good work !
