Thank you for this lovely escape. I just had a bad and challenging day preparing for a workshop at a store in my new country/new culture and just wanted to come home and watch a bit of escapism and saw this! And then when you mentioned needing to put yourself out there more as an introvert, I can relate! As hard as the day was, it was good for me to do it. And to enjoy the video at the end of the day so thank you! I’m so relieved Eddie is ok. So the restaurants put the poison out under the tables or is it strangers?? Terrifying!

Thank you so much for writing this, I am so glad to hear my videos can provide some comfort❤️ I wish you all the best with your workshop! Its so tough getting things going in a new place, so congrats on making it happen! I struggle with putting myself out there too, but most of the time it is so worth it in the end. I will take this as a motivation myself too:) The poison was put there but the restaurant owners, it was tucked in under the bench. Once we called them they did not want to cooperate, we just wanted to know what kind of poison it was… it is probably prohibited to have it in the dining area, but I have seen it in other restaurants too… you always have to be so careful with a dog or kids!

I cannot believe rat poison was under a restaurant table in such a way, I think that is illegal. Soooooo glad you were able to get Eddie immediately to a vet and all is well. Thank you for sharing, really enjoyed watching, looking forward to the next posting.

It probably is illegal, because the restaurant owner refused to cooperate when we called to ask what king of poison it was, just to tell the vet and to help Eddie! Luckily it all ended well. Another lesson for life, always check the pet’s surrounding in public spaces.

Wow....that was a scary situation with Eddie getting hold of the poison. Glad he will be OK and that was good advice for parents of small children and pet owners. The places you covered in this video look really picturesque and relaxing. My grandmother used to always grow Zinnias in her garden.

Thank you! Weimar is so beautiful, I already want to go back. Zinnias remind me of my grandma too, she has them in her garden and I always admired all the colors and shapes of the blooms:)

I'm glad that you persevered and enjoyed your trip -- if that emergency had happened to my dog, I think I would have wanted to pack up and head home 😩

It was so scary! But Eddie was completely fine. The vet said that the poison starts working after a few days and causes internal bleeding if it is not removed. We were lucky to have gotten it sorted super fast and Ed did not feel a thing other than some discomfort from puking the poison out. We were safe to travel with him:) now we obsessively check every corner he can reach when we are out.

I was also in Weimar just the other week! But somehow it looked so much more beautiful through your lens....Hope your trip went on fine after the awful event with Eddie!

Thank you! It was such a nice sunny autumn afternoon when we arrived in Weimar, it all felt so nice. Except for how the day ended. Luckily Ed was completely fine. The poison got out before it started to have an effect and he had no clue what was going on. The next day he was like nothing happened:)
