I don't know why but I found this trip absolutely charming and dreamy...I just love making the best of a cozy roadtrip--including staying in my yoga clothes bc its too cold and buying a gift shop sweatshirt. Love all of this!!!

My MIL used to have a house in Salinas. I grew up / lived an hour north of Monterey and Salinas area for over 20 years. We still have family living nearby although my hubby and I don't live there anymore. It was really nice to see our former home area again in this video. 😊

I live in the Midwest, and it's so amazing to me that you can see gorgeous ocean, mountains, sunshine, palm trees, flowers...whenever you want! We even had sea otters this time! Your seagull encounter was priceless! That was fabulous. Thanks for all the beautiful sights. Being on the east coast we don’t see a swarm of seals. Funny thing is my husband has been all over near where y’all live. He is a truck driver and has been back and forth across country bringing deliveries all outside of LA. I honestly think of y’all whenever he tells me he is on the way there.

I hear you sister 60° in California is cold we are definitely used to between 70 and 80. I think that’s why we paid the big bucks to live here is that the weather is so wonderful with low humidity. That was one aggressive seagull how funny. I see someone but a pink Monterey Bay jacket hoodie. Sometimes it’s good when you leave the correct clothes at home and you just have to get something that’s practical. The best way to travel.

Omg the seagulls...I think of Finding Nemo mine, mine, mine, mine lol they will swipe your food. I was on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and a seagull swooped down took mom pizza slice out of her hand and flew off. Nate got his clam strips. Now I want them 😆💕🌺

I love Monterey so much. I was lucky enough to live there for a year. I’m so glad you got to visit the Hearst Castle! I always end up buying a touristy hoodie or beanie when I visit because I forget how cold it is 😂
