@@andyd8370 Now THAT is a drive! I'm in Spokane Valley, Wa. now. I have been in a car from Hillsboro, OR to Wagner, SD., Off to Denver, then to Spokane, WA, and back home to Hillsboro. That lil trip was like 2002 Mi. Round trip, Including a tornado. Funny watching a train pass your ass when you're doin' 90 mph pulling a 33 ft. trailer behind a 1975 Jeep Wagoneer! as you're watching this damn Tornado coming down the side of this mountain towards us! We went from 90 to about 25! I asked my Dad, Why'd you hit the brakes? He said I'm not! I looked over his shoulder and nearly pissed myself. He has the pedal to the metal. That poor ole ford 360 ci was chugging, doing the best it could, due to the headwinds from that Tornado! This wasn't a marathon, really; We just have family everywhere.. 1976 was one helluva year! Man I used to love my 1988 Mercury Sable LS. It had a 3.8 V6 with high miles on it an that thig got crazy mileage on the highway. On a road trip like that it would get 36 MPG. I had some decent cars over the years, but if I could have any car, like new, it would be that car. It was quiet, drove smooth as silk, had decent power, good gas mileage, and was loaded... power locks, power windows, power steering, 8 way power seats, power side mirrors, keyless entry, 60/40 fold down split rear seats, dual airbag, decent sound, cruise control, mileage computer (instant, average, and lifetime with trip computer). The engine was bullet proof and ran perfect when I got rid of it at 230k miles with a blown transmission. I never had a car that road that nice and has such comfortable roomy interior. I picked the thing up in 1996 with 120k miles on it for $2,500 and drove it for 5 years.

All over the world you should be. Truckers back then… trucking boomed in the past. Now it’s more ridiculous. Now that we have all this bullshit from the COVID… man I can’t stand writing or saying that word… truckers are busting their asses. As a truck driver, I appreciate you for being proud. All us truckers even older ones who got appreciation before. Trucking back then boomed all those oldies and old men built the world. We appreciate your proudness. I worked at a towing and recovery company and recovery and towed broken down trucks to be fixed and put back out there on the roads, or recover wrecked ones and many other things. I left that job for construction business/ trucking. I’ll haul what can go in my 3 trailers. A step deck flatbed, lowboy, huge race trailer I can store a lot of things in. I’ve had a lot of cool stuff I have hauled. Nice thing is my schedule. I see my wife a lot. I come home everyday. If I’m trucking… I stay in the North side of the US close to home as possible. Soon I may have to slow down on that job. It’s my own business… because of future children I’ll have. I hauled machines to job sites to build buildings, I have hauled material for them… oof, I have hauled toys like Can Ams for example. Anything that can go on a flatbed I done. Anything dry that needs to go in a enclosed trailer. I except your proudness sir.
