arn was no joke. my uncle went to a show in asheville nc at the civic center in early 80 something or another with some of his buddies and a couple of our family members. its an hour drive so by the time they get there most everyone of them were damn near drunk. arn was there with ole(i think)in a tag team match. while they were walking to the ring my uncle and my dad were giving them hell and arn and ole were giving it right back. so they go do the match and on the way back same thing as before except this time my uncle had reached capacity of liquid courage. lol so of course the next logical step my uncle decided take was over the rails straight at arn . lol this is when my uncle found out that even though wrestling is fake that doesnt mean wrestlers are faking as well! lol arn beat the daylight savings time out of my uncle asbuddies and two other family members looked on and cheered for arn! lol

Harley's last competitive year was around 1990. He wrestled in early 1991 and substituted for Vader against Flair in 1993 in a few house shows. Harley probably should've retired in the mid 80's. He was well past his prime when he debuted as the king in WWF. I think financial circumstances were the factors that led him to wrestle well into his 40s.

Back in the 80s I worked for the local telephone company and had worked often at WWF HQ while it was still on Summer St in Stamford CT. I was lucky enough to meet an employee there that was so amazing with her kindness and generosity and I know she gave do many people lifetime memories. I mentioned to her how my grandmother was a lifelong fan of the WWF since the, WWWF days and mentioned that my had her knee replaced and had to spend time in a physical rehab facility and they had lousy TV coverage back then and she would have me record the various weekly wrestling programs and bring the VCR over and hook it and play it for her. The lady had asked that when my grandmother was well enough would she like to come to a show and also come back and meet some of the talent, which at that point her rehab was going very slow and not good and when I mentioned this to her she lit up like a supernova. She kept in touch and she arranged to meet at a house show in New Haven, and for a wheelchair to go backstage. While going down the hallway the front wheel brother broke off . During the commotion of the staff trying to find another wheelchair and my grandmother getting upset and starting to cry because she felt she was being a burden and they were all so nice to her, Haku came around a corner (man WAS the corner I was a pretty jacked guy back then but Haku was , well Haku)and I was trying to hold up the front corner of the wheel chair and trying to get her to settle down and he knelt down totally breaking Kayfabe and said Aunty why are you crying, and she said the chair broke and she was upset because she was causing problems, he grabbed the front of the chair and held it up obr handed and yelled for someone to bring a folding chair. He helped her move into it and and stayed a few minutes to speak very softly and nicely to her even though he was a heel, the man made 2 lifelong fans that day, I'll never forget the kindness and gentless this huge human showed a scared and upset elderly lady.

The story Animal is talking about was at some bar where some gang (bloods or crips) were bugging/harassing or saying some weird words and Haku literally dashed over and did the eyeball thing to the guy. There's the other story where Barbarian talks about how some guy was bugging Haku while he was eating and he kept telling the guy to leave him and his friends alone. The guy kept on and about the third warning Haku grabbed the guy laid his back over his thigh and bit off the tip of the guys nose off.

I met Animal in a Burger King after the Summer Slam at Wembley in London and what you notice about him is just how big a mak he was. Honest to God, his arms were as wide as an average man waist. He was really cool and took time to talk to me ( 7 years old ) and my dad. When he realised we were Scottish he said the Piper was coming soon of we wanted to see him.

Buddy Landel was tag team partners with Haku. He travelled with Haku and he told me that the stories are all true & that if he had joined the UFC that they would have laid the belt at his feet. Buddy also said Haku was the nicest guy in the world who cried if he saw a cat run over
