Something I noticed on the LX AWD cars is that the axle is maybe a hair short. When it's lowered, the axle is at full extension (and not much better at OEM ride height). I found this out after blowing out a front axle on a hard turn with the transfer case (09+ LX in a 05 with the clutch wired to a switch) still engaged. When we put the new one in, we determined that the axle had almost zero extension left when it was installed. When I have money to get aftermarket ones made my plan was to have it made about 3/4" longer Also, FWIW it was the passenger side that blew out. Which on the LX's is the diff side. So seeing you blow out the diff side on this makes me think the axle might be a little short, and a big bump would have compressed the suspension and pulled it out of the cup
