If this is considered ASMR, then I finally get what it is all about. There is something incredibly satisfying watch a pro build such an amazing machine. Incredible.

Great build with alot of pressure on the mechanic: THATS ROGLIC´S BIKE! I´ld triple check the check and check again for peace of mind. Also astonishing weight at the end for a full TT bike I almost gasped at it. Cervelo is not playing with 2023s lineup. Thank you!

Is it possible to start adding a list of the specific assembly products used in these pro build videos? Greases, tools, etc. These videos are entertaining but they're most notably a great study for evaluating and refining our own amateur processes, based on pro team practices rather than our local bike mechanic who may or may not have the same knowledge and standards.
@roadbikechannel Жыл бұрын
the tools aren't really that special. a good torque wrench and a decent kit of hex keys and your good to go. jumbo visma uses the products from dynamic, mainly the assembly past pro (purple) and the carbon assembly paste (red). for the brakes they use the sram dot grease 👍 the really special kit is from bike fitting.com but for that you have to get a really good bike fit

Love seeing SRAM components on all the JV builds and, of course, during racing on the top prorider bikes. I am sure the new/revised Red group will finally close the minimal weight gap to DA and the efficiency topic is pointless with the mega chainrings they run on pro level. Nice move from SRAM.
@Horstelin Жыл бұрын
What I see: - powermeter that you have to throw away once the chainring is worn too much -blips that have to be botched with epoxy onto the brake levers... seriously does sram not sell hydro levers with integrated buttons? -if the pros don't ride casettes with 10tooth cogs, why sell them? who needs a 10 tooth cog anyways, if not for the person that has a power output of a pro not a shimano fanboy at all... their power meters suck for instance. But how can you watch this and be like... "yeah SRAM!"
@bidigi Жыл бұрын
@Horstelin I get your points. Some will for sure be covered by the upcoming update. If you sponsor the best team in the world, you have to develop and deliver. The pm topic is made-up IMHO, the Red chaining hardly wears, and to invest 400eur (exchange program) every 3-4 years is ok for me. I just enjoy Sram getting some attention now, and I like supporting the underdog (..of groupsets in the pro peloton)
@roadbikechannel Жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more!
@invisiblescout6335 Жыл бұрын
Their chain is garbage (though that can be remedied), but I will never buy a bike or groupset with their 10t, super compact chainrings bs. And the PM problem isn't only the cost, it's the increased amount of landfill when either the electronics or chainrings need replacing

Spent about 500 miles on it and so far so good. kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA Pros:1. Very light2. Solid quality build3. Fast delivery: It arrived 5 weeks earlier than expected.4. Easy assemblyJust a few cons but nothing major:1. Cheap tin tubes and had flat on first day... but not a big deal. I replaced the tubes.2. Seat is a bit uncomfortable but that's pretty much the same situation with most bikes.3. Seat post is a bit long/high for a smaller size 48 bike - had to saw 2 inch off to fit properly. The lowest setting is too high. The post locking system does not seem to hold well (perhaps because I saw 2 inch off).4. wheels are not tubeless compatible (from what I can tell)
