5 players in the base game is fun, I've tried with up to 7 players which was incredibly chaotic fun. One small house rule to make it work though is, first round everybody only gets one dice and move one car onto the board. Second round they get two dice and must move a second car onto the board, third round they get all the dice and the game is played as normal. That helps spread out the pack just enough for more players.

Great addition to the game, and can I just add with the box extender, this insert also fits inside of the main box. Whoever designed the inserts deserves to win the box insert award of the year...if there was one.

I ordered the Folded Space insert as well, and it pained me deeply to throw out this existing insert because it really does work so well. That being said, the Folded Space insert is amazing.

We just played this and it was so good, we played it twice. It is brutal, but doesn't feel bad because of how crazy-stupid it is. Yelling "Witness me!" and the subsequent "Witnessed!" after crashing into a pillar is just fun.

Think that at some point the designers have realised the lack of bad stuff that you identified. My copy came with a set of hexagonal hazard tiles, and a separate piece of paper that basically said 'during setup, put these wherever you want'.

That's in the Kickstarter-exclusive Turbo Tina's Swag Pack. You can basically craft your own arena with those 20 hazard hexes, very cool.

the reason why I didnt back c of c because the complete lack of rules overview or reviews of the new expansion. I had no idea based on the kickstarter how it would play...except something about scap and a circular track

I missed the metal scrap and box extender, but otherwise was able to grab the KS version second hand without getting scalped. Excited to give this a shot!
