Roadmap to Higher Consciousness

How did the great masters become great masters? How did they do it? In this lively and humorous talk, Asha shares how Yogananda left for us a map for the journey, showing us that there is indeed a path we can all walk -- in the footsteps of the great masters themselves.
In the west, we tend to think everything is linear, including the spiritual path. But in fact it's a very specific complicated journey for each of us, and we must each decide for ourselves which way is forward. Mistakes are inevitable along the path, but our shortcomings are not a problem to God. They are just things that need to be dealt with, lessons that need to be learned, before we attain liberation.
As Asha puts it, "Our real enemy [on the path] is not our incompetence. Our real enemy is the belief in any way that diminishes the love that God has for us." Like Yogananda, we too are en route from being diamonds to God-realized masters. And once we understand the power of that unconditional love, our ability to discern what constitutes forward for ourselves becomes a whole lot easier.
