We feel strongly that having the ability to instantly reduce the weight load of this scooter by 32 lbs within seconds with our quick battery release option is a game changer. We also feel that having the option to separate the scooter from the battery when charging, or simply having this option for security purposes adds tremendous value. With that said, beginning with our RS5 model forward this design will be a staple in all future scooters built by RR.

.... so all those car manufacturers that platform share say a chassis & some other very basic structural components, are not unique to the manufacturer? (New Supra v BMW Z) err...(Cayenne v Toureag)? Manufacturer's choices in suspension, motors, braking, electrical systems & amenities, front facing design elements (body panels), electrical support systems, steel type, Quality Control, even what kind of steel to use in the bolts --makes ALL the difference & taken in totality = completely different vehicles, with different driving characteristics, with different ownership experiences ... pfffft.
@Mikehud19843 ай бұрын
That thin piece of steel for the stem mechanism has me a bit worried. A video showing how durable it is would be good to see.
@RoadRunnerScooters3 ай бұрын
Thank you for responding and btw, the comment is completely understandable. The proper response is that we can tell you what Dale wanted to do from the beginning was all steel. His choice was to have a bullet proof system and not apologize about the scooter being heavier because it would be one of the safest made. So, to your point, you are not looking at an aluminum stem shaft, which is what 99% of all other manufacturers are putting in these stems. This one is steel, and steel is MUCH stronger and therefore does not have to be nearly as thick in diameter as the aluminum. Next, what is encasing that shaft? once again, not aluminum but ALL 304 stainless steel, including the actual folding knob itself. The stem itself is also extremely thick. Finally, this system has been tried and tested thousands of times with not one issue. We hope this helps answer your concern.

Everything about this Scooter looks awesome 🛴🔥 Great no BS video , I really appreciate the fine details explaining why you went certain directions with individual parts of the scooter . The updated display also looks nicer than the display in this video.👍🏼 I do like the display in this video looks like an updated version of the RS5 display, do you know if it is compatible with the RS5?

@RoadRunnerScooters3 ай бұрын
all components on the handlebar are on a quick release connection and were designed to be seamless to work with. There are eagle eye lights on each side of the deck lid on the front. Please note that all riders will have different safety requirements based on location and preferences. With this said, there are many inexpensive options available if you are looking to personalize the perfect scooter specifically for you. It would be impossible unfortunately to make every detail perfect for each rider.

I'm not a fan of that folding mechanism. Clunky and inconvenient! Wish it came with a finger or twist throttle. Not bad for their first non-oem though.
@RoadRunnerScooters3 ай бұрын
We thank you for your response. Everybody has their own opinion on the best throttle selection. We can find good and bad things to say about every one of them as you know. This scooter was designed with safety at the forefront and with that said, we chose this one because we believe the advantage of the thumb throttle is the increase in safety. To your point on the folding mechanism, we are confident there will never be any integrity issues with this folding system or stem. This solid steel mechanism will without doubt be the safest one ever built. For the record, this is RR's second non OEM (RS5 PRO/MAX) and we will soon be announcing our third.
@Poweredrides3 ай бұрын
@@RoadRunnerScooterswell isn’t the RS5 Max still based on the Unicool that was the original RS5? I’ve seen the side by sides and it’s a huge difference but the RX7 would be the first original look/design right? Still cool though and most people prefer the thumb throttle, The twist throttle is awful standing up like the Inmotion RS
@RoadRunnerScooters2 ай бұрын
We will soon end the silence on this topic and the facts of why that "partnership" only lasted for one year. We will share the short history of the RS5, who designed it and who has possession of the mold as we speak. In the end we refused to be bullied and kiss the Titan ring. Instead team USA now has our own private 22,000 sq ft factory in Shanghai, designing and manufacturing the scooters we know Americans are seeking. More to come!
