Good afternoon Christina, when I first saw the dresser/desk, I though, that is not a nice style, but it is solid wood, let me just relax! The paint worked magical tricks, that desk you transformed from "dull to fabulous"!! Your skills in painting techniques brought back the real beauty of that piece of furniture. It really looks amazing and I love the deep drawers, and it makes it's own statement. It was a grand find, and now it is going to be put to good use for many more years. It's great to see you happy and smiling. Love the dressing table! I can't believe you found it in such good condition; they're quite pricy around here. Mod Podge makes a version called "hard coat for furniture." It's a lot less goopy than the regular Mod Podge, and I use it on furniture as well as paper. It has a slight sheen, much like a wax finish, but you can use matte varnish to cover it. Liquatex and others make it, and Krylon makes a matte finish in a spray. xxx
