Nice! In my RC STEM class of crawlers, we made our own DSM straps with stretch cord, blunted fish hooks and shrink-tube( no fancy silk-sceeened shrink yet) They do work great, way lighter and cheaper/simpler than a servo/winch. We figured our cost at $3.45 each........the design process.......priceless😎

Great! Yes, I do believe these can be home-made rather easily.

you can also use them as snap straps and then you can hook it onto something and then you can connect the other side to your electric winch and there would be enough for it to pull you out a lot easier without putting so much load on the motor and gearbox of the winch
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Good point!

@@RoadsideRC for example if you have a scaled truck that is towing through super soft sand and if you've got roof rack roof top tent all the scale and an RC jet ski like I have or the heavily loaded camper trailer then having one of these kinetic recovery straps plus having the winch connected to it would probably make the recovery a lot easier and it won't put a massive load on your winch so you're essentially saving your motor and gearbox from overstraining or over heating and you're just letting the kinetic recovery strap do all the work

They are cool, been seeing Exocaged RC using them! Will be making my own as they are too expensive for what they are.

Thanks! For what we spend in the truck, another $20 isn't a big deal.

@@RoadsideRC Well it cost more to get one to Canada, last time I checked with shipping and exchange will be like $100

Oh no! Yes, that is crazy. This one was $16 for me...

@@Houleigan shipping to Canada has always been an issue for us due to cost. But Amazon now ships to Canada from our USA inventory so hopefully that is a cheaper option for you.

They do great! After awhile, will eventually stretch out - but not a big deal.

How big is your battery and for how long can you drive with one?
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
I use various batteries, but my 4500mah 3S will usually last an hour or so.
