I think it's amazing that you do a whole video just to answer a question for a viewer! Keep up the great work Troy. Side Note, have you noticed that on the Redcat RDS, that the front end sits super high with the springs that came with it, I dropped the Oil to 50 CST and I ordered some soft springs for it that should be here on Tuesday. I'll let you know if it helps. After a LOT of practice, I still think I need tires with more grip, on the surface I'm on, it's like driving on ice, lol. I have a slight incline and unless I use 5% Throttle, it can't even go up the slight incline (very slight incline)

When looking at the ride height of the car. Make sure to check it with a battery in and the body on. Makes a big difference!
@percivale65118 ай бұрын
@@RoadsideRC Nice! TY for the reminder :) I can't adjust the ride height, it just sits at the top of the shock travel, lol. I tried, putting 50 CST oil in them, I took them apart and filed the pistons perfectly, as Redcat had left a bunch of the sprew on there still, 1 was sticking slightly due to this, I also put some 1UP racing Blue O-Ring Grease on the bottom O-Ring that that shaft goes through which all helped, but that spring is just too stiff. :( Also, Happpy New Year!

#Roadside RC, Radiolink. You called the RC8x RadioMaster a few times, which is the MT12 radio. FYI incase you missed it. Easy to do with all these similar named companies doing similar stuffs.
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
Yes! So similar names, and I filmed this shortly after the MT12 testing as well - so just a short-circuit in my brain. I figured folks would get it.

Awesome video again! Remember i shared with you when we lower the gyro gain, maximum steering become lesser? Since your gyro limit trimmer already turn to the minimum and recommend not to touch the steering EPA, why not use the gyro gain to set the maximum steering EPA?
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
I tried that (off camera)! It did help a little...but I thought it would confuse folks.

Hello Troy can you make a video how to setup the gyro on sbus
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
I don't have a good controller to do that with. I can try!
@DabbathaHut8 ай бұрын
I’d like to know this as well. I got a gyd470 for my some after he tried avcs on my car and he liked it. But I’m curious about the sbus features with the gyd470.

I might be able to do that!

@@RoadsideRC would be awesome to see if you’re able to program it without s.bus! happy new year!

@Jorge-ze9to I have setup the GYD550 without Sbus before. The gyro still works really well!
@Jorge-ze9to8 ай бұрын
@@RoadsideRC yeah gyro can be programmed without sbus but I don’t think the esc can, would be cool to know if you’re able to program an acuvance esc through a non futaba remote
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
@@Jorge-ze9to I don't believe that is possible.

Is there a way to turn off the built in gyro to off without the three button presses on the receiver.
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
You should be able to turn the gyro gain to zero- that will also turn it off.

I take it that the gyd470 would work with the Radiolink RC6GS V3 as well?
@RoadsideRC8 ай бұрын
I have heard some folks had issues with it. I don't own a RC6GS, so can't say for sure.
@CP-yj6gg8 ай бұрын
I have the RC6GSv2 and an RC4GSv3. In both radios, I was only ably to use a receiver that did not have the built in gyro for the GYD470 to initialize (R6F & R4F). On receiver that has the built in gyro, it did not work even if I disabled the gyro function. Good to know that this is not the case on the RC8X.

Do you recommend any gyro for someone with a spektrum dx5 rugged gyd470 does not work
@RoadsideRC7 ай бұрын
Hi there! Unfortunately, I have found very limited success using Spektrum electronics in drifting. There is just something about their system that doesn't cooperate. The GYD470 works great once you get it setup correctly. I need to test it specifically, but even the Rlaarlo CT8A I recently shared would work better - in my estimation.
@TommyHellraiser17 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reply I did some digging online and a forum recommended the agfrc v3 and so far it works pretty well first time with rwd drift so nothing to compare it to but at least it works the gyd470 didn’t even move the servo when tried to turn and best part was only $39 on amazon
