Hey Troy. I have the X16 the MT version of this. It’s been a great and fun truck. Going against my better judgement , I too experienced the same clicking sound when I tried mine on 3s. I thought the same thing as you that I blew out my rear diff as I only had front wheel drive. A closer inspection showed me though that it wasn’t the rear diff. It was the rear drive cup that had spit due to the extra power and voltage. I registered my car with Hosim, contacted them and told them that the plastic drive cups should be made stronger or out of metal. They sent me a package of 8 spare drive cups in case it continues to happen. Really great service! Plus they sent me a couple other goodies for registering. While waiting for the drive cups, I repaired the damaged one with fishing line and CA glue. It’s held up beautifully and I still haven’t yet replaced it. I don’t run 3s in this one, but I do run hi cap 2s lipos and it a true blazer! I put oil filled shocks and it lands those jumps like a champ. I also put on slightly smaller diameter tires and this has fixed the heating issue. Still gets thru the grass and it handles like it should now! It’s an awesome little rig. Nice job on this review buddy! 👍🏻🍻😎

I’ve had to change out all the diffs from every Hosim I’ve gotten it’s not good metal but that did look fun while it lasted 🤩👍🏽💯

Those diff gears that they use for those hosim, bezgar, dee RC are like pot metal and for some reason they don't lubricate them good enough so this is what happens. You have to open the diffs and grease the gears up well yourself and they will do great. Otherwise the gears get so hot that the teeth will melt. This happened to my bezgar the third time I ran it so I got on the pHone with bezgar and five days later i received a whole entire set of gears when all i needed was the spur. So I installed the replacement and filled the diff cases and greased the spur gear up good and it's been three years of countless bash sessions and it's running great now still

Agree! Typically these trucks are rather strong!

You might be able to fill those shocks with oil. I acquired a set of shocks that look exactly like those from a hosim that I found at a thrift store

Nice tip! Thanks. I had tried with a different design before...and the oil just ran out.

It sure went fast on 3s. For as long as it did. Didn’t know they use these motors in cars. Know them from planes.

Yes - it was a BLAST on 3S...until it wasn't. This outrunner style motor is somewhat common in rock crawlers - very unusual to have it in this type of application.

It looks like they tried making the biggest car they could with the least material possible. $279 is way too much. Even with the 18% discount $230 is too much. You could get a Redcat Volcano exp pro for that.

Good point about the Volcano Pro. Having owned a few of those as well...I may actually prefer this design over the Volcano Pro. I think it has more potential. Especially since after this video was published, Hosim upgraded the diff gears - truck should be about bulletproof now.
