Lovely to see Vardzia again - such a beautiful spot, when we visited we ended up tagging along with an archeological group that we’re restoring some of the frescos. We stayed in the valley - truly memorable x

Another enjoyable blog - thanks. It struck me at the start of your vlog that you appeared to find a great many outstanding parkups in both Georgia and Armenia for you then to confirm that was the case. Your journey around both countries has been fascinating and an education for me as I knew absolutely nothing about them. An ambitious adventure for us is our planned trip to Spain and back through France next month so, to visit somewhere so far away, is beyond our current comprehension. However, who knows, perhaps our horizons might broaden. I do wonder how feasible such a trip would be in a vehicle that is somewhat more modest than your 4x4 overlander? Would, say a 2 wheel drive campervan, mean that some of your destinations and/or parkups have been inaccessible?
@TheGapDecaders2 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter you could absolutely do much of this trip in a campervan or motorhome. We just met a Brit couple in a large A class Burstner this morning. Some of our parkups might be difficult, especially in the wet, but there are plenty of places a motorhome or campervan without 4x4 could get to :)

did you oversay the 60 days the truck is allowed in Georgia? did anyone say anything or do you have any more information? i am still here and have been here for nearly 8 months now. no one has said anythjng yet but guess it would be at the border as we leave that it may come up.. ?? been really enjoying the videos - thanks!!

Hi there Thanks for the feedback :) We dipped into Armenia just in time, and then spent another 58 days in Georgia. As we were leaving for Turkey we met a Georgian police officer who spoke really good English and was interested in our travels. We asked him about the 60 day limit and he said that if you overstay you have to pay 50GEL a day up to a maximum of 1000GEL :( Let us know how you get on when you leave :)

You do find the best spots, do you by any chance record them in an App like iOverlander or something similar?

Hi Pascal - as well as showing the What3Words location in the video, we also share our spots on Park4Night :)

@@TheGapDecaders now I know what these 3 words mean 😂 never knew… Ta. Will check both apps for functionality, we’re planning to visit Turkeye in 2024 for 3-4 months.

Seems like the perfect 3 months out of the Schengen area. Where are you heading after Turkey?
@TheGapDecaders2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert - we don't havw to worry too much about that because Phil has an Irish passport, but we know it's a major issue for a lot of people. Although it's a long way to come a three month tour of Turkey, Georgia and Armenia is a fantastic way to manage the 90/180 days. We'll be heading slowly back to the UK via Blugaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Germany and the Netherlands for the annual pain in the ass MOT!
