As much as I like this story I find it offensive not to me since I don’t hunt but to people who do since it portrays the hunters as just bad people who wanna kill animals in real life there are specific time limits for when you can hunt and a limit on how many animals you can take and how old they must be the Greg’s do it every Saturday and they show no restrictions why can’t there ever be media that portray the hunters as good guys

Clearly, Mr. Dahl was a passionate animal rights advocate. I admire him for that. And clearly, this is a story written for children from a child's perspective. Mr. Dahl is raising the question of the morality of sports hunting. Should civilized people really kill innocent animals for fun? I don't believe they should. I certainly don't, but I'm not aggressively protesting against hunting for fun. But maybe I should.

@@ayliea3974 have you heard of the protests of people who are against hunting and how people in the comments or people watching respond to it if this book was written today it would probably result in a lot of controversy from People who agree with him and people who don’t since there are many people today who hate animal cruelty others believe it’s ok if you think about it Mr Greg’s response was we allow each other it should have been we have a license do you and when he said you wouldn’t shoot my children it should be if you do have a license your not allowed to shoot my children plus they did it ever Saturday morning and they clearly have no respect for a bag limit or tags so the girl could have called the cops on them and had their guns taken away
