Yes, but you need a special permit, and you can only get access to the permit if you use it for the sole purpose of fishing. Also, your car has to be four-wheel drive. www.njparksandforests.org/parks/islandbeachstatepark.html

@@rachels594 Yeah the only relief you get is when its a windy day, other wise you become lunch and you end up looking like a leper when you leave.

Only go when wind is blowing out of the north east, east or south east. If the wind is from the west you are going to get eaten. Basically, applies to any beach on the east coast with a bay or any water behind to the West.
