The German- Danish border region in Flensborg is also my home and the home of the danish minority in Germany. The advantages are that we can live there with the cheap German prices, but also live our danish culture in Slesvig (danish schools, kindergartens, sport Institutions...) 😊

Hi Danishcommander4dk! Thanks for your comment and this concept of staying close to the border is so so interesting. I've heard similar stories about the Danish Swedish border, and the Danish German border, likewise at the German Polish, German Austrian or the German Czech border. People from one side tend to move to the other for bulk purchases, especially for Drinks or Meat for a barbeque party etc. I find the German prices quite steep and when you said "cheap German prices" then I had to laugh a little and remind myself about the even higher Danish prices xD Have a pleasant weekend ;)
