Hi Maria - It's awesome how you are always able to stay so positive, especially when things don't always go your way! I can totally relate to having a mosquito where I am trying to sleep. Not much worse that being woken up by their buzzing near my ears. My dad used to use a tennis racket zapper that, when he pressed a button, it electrified the "strings" and zapped them. It worked amazingly and I think they were only about $10 at Walmart. Anyway, safe travels and you sure found a beautiful area to explore this time. Take care!

You might want to get a 2L or 5L garden pressure sprayer for you and blue. It will make cleaning him much easier and you can also use it as a portable shower ☺️

I'm very late in this post but, Maria, I felt so bad that you had a migraine. I used to get bad headaches but not for a very long time now. I was thinking, as I've watched several videos where you have low tire pressure, and those massive road bumps didn't help. Sometime soon, go to a tire shop and ask them to examine all of your tires for any possible reasons for slow leaks, like a foreign object, nail, etc. Do I love me some Blue? You betcha! Keep on keeping on, love you guys.

That scenery was just magical. It looks awesome up there. I have another thingy... you pay for air in your tyres??? Down here it's free. I get the whole pay before you fill your tank. We should have that here, however we do not and there are a few "drive off's " every now and then. Living close to a Costco I fill up there as it's cheaper than most outlets. I think at the moment it's around $2.09 per litre of regular. Stay safe and cool.

When Em was in town one year we were exploring a huge wilderness area in the old Gray Mare. We followed a 2 track down to it sloped off a cliff and had no where to turn around. I had to back up probably a mile and smoke checked the clutch 😂

I feel like you and I are very similar. We dont cry unless we run over a critter on the road. I ran over a mouse and balled my eyes out for the same thing. A mouse! And we both put our dogs first. Aussies are so adaptable, but we do need to work them. Luckily my aussie is lower energy (most of the time) but she is still a puppy (energy BURST!) Piper is the most important thing to me when we are driving and camping. I want to get into driving further with her, but her health is the most important. I can drive for 15 hours straight, but she shouldnt have to. Theres more similarities, but I'm so happy I found your channel so I can laugh at all the deadpan and sarcastic jokes you make, watch Blue live his best life, and imagine that it's me and Piper out there. Unfortunately with my job, I can't travel for long stretched, but I'm trying to make car camping happen more often with my dog. Seeing your struggles and wins let's me know it's possible and some things you're doing are actually good prep for it. 3 day weekend trips, here we come!

3yrs ago we had an old Toyota Prius that was previously owned by a man who was getting senile and he kept backing into stuff. The bumper would just pop out on one side while I was driving 😹. I actually ziptied it on and it held for 2more yrs till we could afford to buy something newer. Glad your Rue is holding up now. Love your vlogs and you two are so adorbs💯‼️😊

I did something similar to my trailblazer, it broke the plastic clip that hold the bumper cover in place so my son and I drilled some holes and used carriage bolts to hold it on... kind of like car bling.. the split in the bumper cover got a couple ziptie "drift stitches"

Hey there. Im curious what you have your bed platform made of. I made one for my car but it ended up being so heavy and I ended up having to take it out when the gas prices went up. That thing was nice too but lighter is how I will have to go. My suv looks like bout the same size as your car back. Yeah that road was full of potholes, you should get like a '72 suburban or bronco. That would give you plenty of room and ground clearance. Sorry about the headache but it was probably from the mosquitoes sucking the life-force from you lol. 60° and no mosquitoes is much better than 98° high humidity and thousands of the nasty things buzzing about. On a side note the way you fixed that bumper you should be an auto body technician or teach kung-fu :) thanks for the video

Pro-tip: Buy gaffer tape roughly the same colour as your car so you can make temporary repairs and nobody will notice. You'll thank me when you don't want a jobsworth cop to notice that, perhaps, your bumper's hanging off and try to give you a ticket for an unsafe vehicle, or whatever.
