Wind shields have a UV coating that block some the sun’s rays. It’s done as a safety measure for the driver but it also protects the dashboard from sun damage.

After 7 years of camping in a Class b, a cargo van, a trailer, and now in a suv, I have reverted to a cooler and ice so I don’t have to struggle with keeping a battery alive. Im in the UK i lived in my ford transit van with my 2 border collies for 9 mths as was homeless , here sometimes its not a good idea to sleep totally on your own somewhere , the area i was in which i always thought was ok was a completly different place at night i had to move in the night quite alot , i had a emergency number to ring from charity , quite frightening . after a few months i got to now where was my best places , my van just looked like a work van so i could just park anywhere no one new i was in there dog were gd at being quiet unless needed to i could also jump threw to the front and drive off. just found you loving your videos and your little doggy.

Don't know you're whole solar set up yet but should be running you're fridge from the jackery, depending on your fridge should pull about 45 -50watts when compressing and cpl watts when resting so the jackery fully charged will last you couple days without recharge. Plug your Jackery Into your car 12v so it will charge while you're driving. And any time you can use a 120 outlet grab the Jackery and charge as much as you can. Wish you luck!

Coffee hack suggestion for a quick, no brew while still half asleep, instant cup of morning java. Make coffee as you cook dinner. Put coffee in a thermos so you can just pour it first thing after you wake up in the morning. Kabam, instant caffeine gratification and doggy gets undisturbed beauty rest. 😃

😂😂girl! I watched 2 other of your vids then finally HAD to hit subscribe on this one! I lived out of my car with my sr dog for almost a year doing Lyft/Uber. We been in a mini van now for almost 3 months doing delivery! Yes the windshield blocks the solar. I only leave it on my dash if I'm away from my van and don't want anyone to steal it. Otherwise if I'm in my van I'll put it on top of the van or on the outside windshield of the van.

I know this is old but hope you get this, my son and I travel around playing music in the streets busking we make good money and consider jobs too but what I'm getting at is we carry a spare car battery and a 5 thousand watt power inverter to run out amps and p a then we have a charger I found on Temu for 12 bucks and whenever we find a plug in like at parks or campgrounds we charge the battery then use it to charge phones and run any other devices. We spent a long time in the Nashville area but we are back in our home state of Virginia now but plan on goin cross country in my equinox! But might I best in a van nothing special just a little more room. I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby Chase I'm also a published author of books about dogs! Just subscribed. This will be me on the road soon. My sidekick (Mr.Peabody) is 16 years 1month old and he is slowing down big-time and is blind as well and kind of loses his balance from time to time. He has been through thick and thin with me and has moved into three different homes and my goal was to move into my car and travel the USA as well with my sidekick. But situations occur that I ended up home taking care of my parents and I don't regret a moment of it. My dad passed away two years ago and my mom has Alzheimer's so our trips are delayed but that's okay. I know about the time I hit the road my sidekick mr. Peabody will not be around and that will just break my heart but I'm thankful for every minute. Enjoy your adventures can't wait to be on the road as well someday soon

Get some bike wire locks to run through your panels and secure to the car frame. Set the panels at a 45’ angle on the ground or the roof of the car. Generally this is better than lying them flat unless directly under the sun. The panels should work better. I have a Huge Bluetti system and generally pull in 500 or more watts out of 600 in the morning hours.

I don't know how many charging ports you have in your SUV but if you have a car charger for your solar box drive around and charging it hopefully in the very back with air ventilation will be faster. I have one I use in my travel trailer for power outages and mainly if it's cold, snowy and icy. You will run your car battery down fast just sitting, running the engine and charging. I Aldo got smart and bought a 12 voltage kettle for my tea which I can use at work too. My coworkers get a kick out of my cargo area in my SUV because I got all these neat little gadgets for literally surviving if I get stuck. The less of a drain on the battery the better. Solar charge you need to start as early in the day as possible for that and at a 40 to 50 percentage charge on that box. Inverter! Not a 3 12 volt plug in those will blow as you have learned in no time. A 110 5o 12 volt inverter with USB charging because THAT has a vent fan to keep it cool.

@@ChristineMeachum check target for a 3 plug one, it should have 4 UBS connections as well and another tip compare price to web price they will price match. Mine was like 50$ in store $30 online lol that was a real treat.
