How to paint a car with a singe stage metallic or pearl paint for under $1000 including all materials used to prep! A big job but if done right the results are amazing. Im super happy with how the paint layed out overall and for a cheap job this has turned out really nice!

With the thinners keep the cap. Drill the centre. Modify to fit with a funnel. Seal it and then you can take it to each bottle for future use

You should’ve used a coral grinder abrasive pads, it strips it down to bare metal without touching the metal, that’s what I used for my coil cab and it took me a few hours to prep the whole cab

We always poured the thinners into another mixing cup, made it a lot easier to pour accurately and then you’ve got a cup of thinners for cleanup

Just us a thing called a hardener pourer, screws onto the thinner bottle and can leave it on for as long as you want. 👍 Loving the vids

My advice is don’t go raptor, it is pretty shit stuff! Spend the time and go single stage but maybe without a pearl! Do nice grey or soemthing simple 👌

A lot of those paint cans have a inner tube if you pull on the screw top lid it should pull out the funnel then screw off the red cap

Hey mate, just some tips: Use a good quality stick stirrer to mix bases etc pour your hardener/reducer/gun wash with the spout at the top, it'll reduce the wastage spilling everywhere (hope this makes sense lol) great work as always

Seeing as you have raptor coated previously and had to do rust repair after raptor coating, what do u think is the best way to get raptor off a whole car? Mines painted bright red with the original white under without prep, it’s now turning pink, I want it gone. Old owner painted it, not me.

Do your self a massive favour on the next car you paint and use guide coat when blocking out. Also use white rags and keep wiping it'll your towels are clean.

Try walking the paint job if you do another one. Panel painting is a much better way to paint, no double a triple coating the edges of each panel. Also cuts your chances of running it in those areas 100%.
