As a couple enters the woods for the guy to hilariously blow the proposal, a meteorite had just touched down the day prior. Housed within, a creature begins running through the local species, until it finally hits humans. As the girlfriend realizes something is wrong, it highlights an interesting issue. This species that takes over a human body, what exactly are its methods of making and synthesizing and using its own genetics to build a body. But how is this possible? Lets discuss that in todays episode!
Thank you for watching Roanoke Gaming and I hope you enjoy The Body Synthesizing Alien Species in Significant Other Explained

It's interesting that the alien is actually able and willing to use their hosts memories in new circumstances to try and openly reason with a human. It was rather really fascinating. A couple days later the healing process had reached the point where enough connective tissue had built up to stop this movement, and I felt kinda disappointed. =D Once in a lifetime experience. Would not recommend (having an organ removed that is crucial to your survival). I‘m having my uterus removed sometime in the near future, so that’s bound to be fascinating as well.

It’s the small intestine that can be returned in the abdomen and reposition by self per say. The large intestine must be oriented correctly. The risk of bowel obstruction and discomfort is the best option, while necrosis is the worst case. In other words if it’s not put back correctly you’ll be full of shit and in pain, or using a colostomy bag. The general surgeon who also was an instructor explained as such while waiting for the incoming appendectomy be rolled in.

I’m just noted it down as the cord conspiracy. You know like when you have a bunch of thin cables lined up and they somehow all tangle together anyway when out of sight? Maybe everything small and tube-y does it. Gaia’s intestines.
@ericlamb4501
@ericlamb4501 Жыл бұрын
I don't know who noted it first, but my guess would be because it's essentially a semi-rigid fleshy tube in a liquidy environment, grown to a specific-ish shape, air and other stuff running through it kinda bends it back to how it's supposed to be. Closest thing I can think of as a visual example would be a self coiling garden hose. When there's water going through it, it expands into a hose to use, once empty, it coils itself back up. It goes back to its shape without outside interference cause that's the shape it "knows", being coiled up is how the material is in default after being made in a factory. Same applies to the intestines, they have a "factory default" shape in your stomach and at least the short intestine is malleable enough to unwind and then return to shape.

If they took over human bodies again, though, then it's likely they'd also have similar issues to what this alien had- not being able to kill, succumbing to poopoo biological traits, etc. That also assumes that they'd take over humans, though, given that the scout would presumably have mentioned how weird humans are and how much easier things would be as deer.

A thing I never get in some of these movies is the rest of the invasion force arriving literally days after the scout. Like what really was the purpose of the scout then, how much info could they really get and send back in such a short time for a global invasion? From the way it spoke of humans it was clear this was their first visit so they were invading a world that they knew nothing about.
@sunt7918
@sunt7918 Жыл бұрын
Maybe there were more scouts in different parts of the world,taking up people that have more information about the world. I mean, even the knowledge of 1 human of the history, resorces of the world,is enough to be a motive for invasion
@thehermitman822

The only reason I can give in this case is that it's just tradition for this species sense they aren't used to actually encountering resistance like "love" and maybe the scout just gives advice on best meat suits. She was probably taking Ativan, which is what is prescribed for anxiety attacks. It dissolves under your tongue very quickly and is absorbed into the blood stream, where it proceeds to calm you down and decreases the panic you feel. It is very fast acting, although not nearly as fast as in the movie. It takes about 2 or 3 minutes to dissolve completely and absorb into your blood stream, and then it takes about 5 more minutes to stop the anxiety attack altogether. The only way Ativan could work nearly as fast as shown in the movie, they would need a higher dose directly injected into your IV line.

Sometimes, a newborn’s intestines don’t get enclosed within the body during gestation. They’re still hooked up, they’re just outside the body. They have to be placed in a special sleeve to keep them moist then suspended over the baby so gravity can slowly pull them into the abdomen. I don’t remember what this is called; I’m not a pedi nurse. Takes a while but then the opening is sutured closed, baby is monitored & goes home after a while, assuming all goes well. The body just figured out how to arrange things itself. Bodies are fascinating machines that are both miraculous & disgusting.

If the other aliens have the same reaction as this one then I don’t think their invasion would go smoothly. Almost every human has someone they love: a partner, parents and grandparents, offspring, close friends, pets. Unless they assimilate a sociopath or something there is going to be someone out there that any human these things assimilate is not going to want to kill. Even if they go for different species to assimilate they will have to choose carefully. This planet is full of pair and pack bonding species that form close bonds. Seems like these guys would just have to give up at some point and either call this planet a loss or cohabitate with us. Great video as always!

My theory on side stitches is that it’s a muscle that activates while running to help support or stabilize and when somebody doesn’t engage in such motions for a long period of time the muscle overreacts or something to that nature.

honestly medication for anxiety (its generally the stuff thats highly addictive and not recommended to take regularly) has a calming affect even before you take it. I have major panic attacks, I'm talking A grade "I"m having a heart attack, these are my final moments" kinda deal. And sometimes just knowing my medication is in hand and ready is enough to stop me going over the precipice. Its real weird when you think about it but I would never have been able to kinda qualify its placebo affect if I didn't go through it every now and again

God this reminds me of the Nuerax Worm scenario in Plague Inc. Im more interested in how the invasion would play out. The issue with the Aliens is that they copy Humans entirely, so they attain everything about said person. In this sense, if someone is wired in such a unique way, is it possible that some Aliens would defect and we would get a "Parasyte The Maxim" situation. Some turn to stone cold killers, some remain animalistic and feral, or do some get Protagonist Syndrome and 1v1,000,000. Its such an interesting idea that hasnt been touched nearly enough ever since Parasyte

Had a Speech class in college where a woman who was very flower power talked about how love is the most important thing a human can experience. The very next person was a girl who was a med student that gave a speech about how love is a chemical reaction that evolution came up with to trick us into making more of ourselves. It was pretty funny

I always thought that side stitches occur when you exercise after eating since your body needs extra blood for digestion AND exercise, so your spleen empties your blood reserves but your body craves more, making it cramp up trying to squeeze out more.

Dude the alien in this film is such a great amalgamation of “The Thing” and the Xenomorph, while also giving it human emotions. A nice twist. Also, I love how they paid homage to the deleted scene in Alien where Ripley finds Dallas cocooned on the wall. Roanoke is ultra mega giga chad version of Bill Nye, while actually being a scientist and not being a chud unlike Bill.

I get side stitches from sitting sometimes. Random pain, even though I'm active in my lifestyle, although not the very. I bike and walk and dance for exercises a few times a week. So, yeah, I was told growing up that side stitches was ONLY because I wasn't fit enough. I am totally normal according to my doctor, so I don't buy that anymore. It's strangely nice to hear that we ain't entirely sure why side stitches happen :)

I always thought a side stich was just your bodies way of telling you to slow down? a lot of negative shit happens when you start running/heavy activity so if your body isn't prepared for it the body freaks out saying "stop before you hurt yourself". and I think it's a side stitch because it's a cardiovascular activity. your lungs probably working overtime expanding and contracting so much the connective tissue probably get's strained. that's why runners always raise their arms to expand their ribs so the lungs can fully expand so they can take slow deep breaths and it goes away. at least that's what I thought about during pt runs. lol.
