I hope this song gets the respect and care it deserves. It’s an a amazing song about a horrible real world story. And one that still happens today indeed. I wish anyone experienced something like this the best.. Explanation: The story that this song is about: Ronnie Spector, who is a 60s Pop star who was abused and locked up by her husband Phil Spector, a songwriter, who used her for fame. In an attempt to keep her with him he adopted two twins as “Gifts “ On christmas. dubbed the Christmas Kids- the name of this song. Ronnie eventually escaped, but was unable to change her name due to being known under the name, Ronnie Spector. This is shown in the lyric “Change your name or change your mind” this was done so she could continue in the music industry. This song is supposed to be for awareness. (This is sort of a repost, just to spread the info.) Edit: PLEASE COPY AND PASTE TO SPREAD AWARENESS

@@BrittneyThomas-cc7cj Roar is a Phoenix, Arizona, hard rock band formed by Owen Evans in the late 2000s. In 2016, Evans started moonlighting as the touring drummer for fellow Arizona-based folk-punk band AJJ, but he continued to release records as Roar. "Christmas Kids" is a track from Roar's 2010 debut EP, I Can't Handle Change. The song is about producer Phil Spector's abusive relationship with his wife Ronnie Spector. Phil Spector was a music producer who was known for his innovative "Wall of Sound" production technique that was popular in the 1960s. He was married to Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett, who was the lead singer of the girl group, The Ronettes, between 1957 and 1974. According to Ronnie, Phil Spector was controlling and jealous, and he would often physically and emotionally abuse her. She described incidents where he would pull her hair, hit her, and even threaten her with a gun. She also said he would isolate her from her friends and family and force her to stay at home and not work on music. Appearing unsightly With devils inside me If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie "Phil Spector was said to have hidden his wife Ronnie's shoes so that she couldn't run away," Evans detailed to The Phoenix New Times. "He was rumored to have threatened his wife with a glass casket he kept in the house, saying that he would display her corpse in it if she attempted to escape. Spector was simultaneously writing and producing trite, catchy, pop songs for teens." The title refers to the twins Louis and Gary Spector that Phil reportedly coerced Ronnie into adopting one Christmas in an attempt to revive their marriage. The Christmas kids were nothing but a gift And love is a tower where all of us can live Ronnie eventually filed for divorce from Phil Spector, citing irreconcilable differences. The singer later wrote in her 1990 memoir Be My Baby that she feared for her life during their marriage, and her mother helped her to escape from him. Louis and Gary Spector also accused their adopted father of engaging in likewise behavior towards them. Roar released "Christmas Kids" as a single on March 14, 2010. It entered the UK singles chart for the first time in 2023, 13 years later, after it trended on TikTok.

@@BrittneyThomas-cc7cj well, the people on the album cover are phil and ronnie, ronnie formed a band, I don't quite remember the name, phil was a famous producer, and ronnie reached out to him, ronnie became quite successful, and ronnie and phil eventually got married, after that, I'm pretty sure phil was mentally ill (I think.), and started abusing ronnie, she couldn't escape the house, and from what I've heard, phil even had guard dogs so ronnie couldn't leave, after, phil adopted 3 kids, 2 twins and 1 child, they were adopted on Christmas, that's why the song refers to them as "Christmas kids" and only "gifts", and the rest is just what I think and heard. i believe ronnie eventually divorced him and escaped from a broken window, but she kept his last name, to maybe still have a chance to be famous, she eventually died, but the 3 kids are still alive, but in they're 40's or 50's. :)

For those who don’t know this song is based on a true story. In the 1960s there was a guy called phill. He abused a girl called Ronnet. It’s the ppl on the picture on the album. He abused her and she wanted to escape. But phill adopted kids on Christmas. Ronnet new she couldn’t leave the kids. That’s why they say:”and leave this f-cked up place behind, but I’ll know I’ll know “

There’s unfortunately, some scary and horrible lore behind this banger of a song. in 1969, Ronnie Spector, the lead singer of the Ronnettes (a popular band back then) married Phil Spector. Phil was a famous record producer and songwriter, discovering the Beatles, the Ronettes, and many more golden pop stars. Phil was known for his charm, but behind closed doors he was a horrible husband. He essentially held ronnie captive in his mansion. He hid her shoes at night so she couldn’t run away, as well as lining the property with barbed wire fences and guard dogs. The scariest of these precautions, perhaps, was the golden coffin he kept in the basement. He threatened to kill ronnie and bury her in the coffin if she tried to escape. The only time she could leave the mansion was once a month, to go to the store for menstrual care products along with an appointed body guard. Ronnie lived this was for a long time, until one day, seemingly out of the blue, Phil comes home with two twin boys. Ronnie asked him who they were, and Phil replied “Merry Christmas!” hence the title-“christmas kids”. Phil had adopted the two boys without and consent from Ronnie, who became their mother. While Ronnie became a mom, hers was becoming worried. She had lost all contact with her beloved daughter. The details are fuzzy, and I am unsure how it happened, but somehow Ronnie’s mother freed her from her prison. The boys went back to their biological father, and Ronnie and Phil got a divorce in 1978. Phil forced her to give up a lot of money, and threatened her life with hitmen he had hired. although Ronnie is dead now, the horrors she went through will not be forgotten. Phil went on to murder actress Lana Clarkson in the same mansion in 2003. he was sentenced to only 19 years in prison. Ronnie tragically passed away due to cancer on January 13, 2022. Phil Spector died on January 16, 2021. Copy and paste this if you want to spread info.
@hobomike69359 ай бұрын
Phil hired 3 black and 3 white hitmen, which he kept anonymously nearby whenever Ronnie was outside of their multi-million dollar mansion. At one point, he phoned her and reminded her that if she made an attempt to flee, she would be *_Shot outside the Flamingo Hotel._* The "Gold coffin" that Phil often described in morbid detail of burying Ronnie in actually exists; it is unknown what happened to it after he died. After deliberation about her future, Ronnie _willingly_ (NOT coerced) forefitted all future record earnings and relinquished her rights to custody of Gary and Louis, the actual "christmas kids." Ronnie did not consent to adopting the kids, but effectively left them to fend for themselves during her escape from the prison. She and her Mother meticulously planned the escape over the course of a few weeks, taking into account not to arouse suspicion from _Phil or an appointed "bodyguard" (captor) that was assigned to escort her once a month when she would leave. christmas twins are living somewhat "normal" lives now and have actively chosen to stay out of the media spotlight, although both have described the family life of their past as "sick, twisted, and dysfunctional." They have been suggested to harbor no ill will against Ronnie for escaping, and never really saw her as their mother.

Every line has a meaning of my life Ronnette, my dear don’t ever disappear (i found the one) Do what you want as long as you stay here (i told her 2 days into the date) I need you now, i love you so much more then you could know (when i had trouble with work she help me through it) The Christmas kid were nothing but a gift (she gave me a gift for Christmas of a tiny bear saying together forever) And love is a tower where all of us can live (i had 3 other good friends of mine living me and her) You’ll change your name, or change your mind (she started talk less) And leave this fucked up place behind (i thought it was my friends) But i’ll know i know i know (i started to think what could of happened) Appearing unsightly, with devils inside of me (ever since my friends moved it it felt off) If you ever try to leave me, i’ll find you ronnie ( she left for 2 days) Im leaving, phil, im leaving now im going to escape but you won’t know how (i was planning to run away when the reality hit me that my love for her is fading away) Or where to find me when i’m gone i’ll drink myself to death inside this prison cell ( i was thinking about suicidal thoughts) So get me out of here (i started going insane when i saw people saying leave them behind and join us) Basically the whole story pieced together was i found a girlfriend that I thought we are meant to be and i head trouble with stuff mostly work so she help me through this stress then when i introduced my girlfriend to my 3 close friends 2 boys and 1 girl. She had fun with them and had a mini party but next day she left for “work” but never came back for 2 days then boom Realisation smacked me that my live is fading away like wood above a campfire. Then i started to ho through all the possible paths days turned into months and months turned into years, i never saw here for so long that i just went insane so before i jumped off my friend saw me and stopped me, he made me into a normal person again thanks to him (me and him are friends till this day).

I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 6:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 57:42.I am currently crying so hard right now. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on cat. hail cat. hail cat. The dancing cat, This made me tear up. How could such a cat do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this dancing cat. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a bacon I have ever seen especially on 17:24. The work put in to this is incredibly inspiring. The graphics, the animation, the music, so much thought was put into it. This has remined me that you can do anything you put your mind to. Not even mentioning the memories, this makes me feel like an infant again, just laying my eyes on this beautiful masterpiece gives me all the good feelings in life. I also understand what happiness is again from this. Not even to mention the most incredible part that is 2:10. Cat dancing has changed my life for the better. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece, I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. So much great graphic design, so much suspense, so much greatness in this one video. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. How could a cat do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the cat dances, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 57:42. I am crying. This has made me go through an emotional rollercoaster. I cried, beat off, and also watched a movie while watching this premiere. This has made me go through so much. I passed depression because of this. It really inspired me to become an outstanding young woman. Thank you.

This comment isn’t even theirs I’ve seen this comment with the exact same words on a lot of comments. My guess is that the original was posted on a Doober vid with the spinning bacon but idk.

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late-night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone, a few pens, paper, or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heating pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight

When I listen to this idk why but I think of my friend group and my closest friend we had so much fun together we both loved being with each other inseparable…. It’s been 5 years since she died I think last time we talked was her talking about someone standing outside her house setting something up I miss her..😢

I hope this song gets the respect and care it deserves. It’s an a amazing song about a horrible real world story. And one that still happens today indeed.
