I'm 69 years old now and I remember in high school watching Joan Rivers do standup comedy. She was hilarious and was throughout her whole career. I also loved her on Fashion Police. Because of Joan is the only reason I watched it. I also want to say I think Kathy Griffin is another great standup comic. She could talk all night and all I could do was laugh nonstop.

that’s so cool :) i’m about 40 years younger than you and it’s so wild to me to think that comedians like joan rivers have had such an impact that they could influence both of our age groups. she inspired my own standup style. i first saw her on fashion police and then learned she was a comedian later. i’m glad youtube exists so i can watch old stand up performances since i caught on to her and many other legendary comedians’ standup late haha.
