Do you have any profiles you can share for some of your roasts that you thought worked well for you? Great video - keep them coming. Love your style of teaching

Looks very annoying that the displays keep changing to different variables, seemingly without indication what exactly it is currently displaying. A bit similar to how the Gene Cafe displays its set temperature / exhaust temperature. You also have to press all kinds of buttons to access different functions or view/set different temperatures. The PRS button that scrolls one-way through different modes of the roaster isn't very convenient either. You probably get used to these quirks after using it for a while but it's so much different from a standard mechanical gas roaster where you can directly access all the controls for heat, fans, drum speed, diffuser, cooling and so on. On your previous introduction of the Bullet V2 I already said I thought the design isn't very practical or well thought out. I'm feeling a bit the same with the control panel :-/ What matters for the consumer is the quality of your roast though, and I'm sure you can roast some pretty tasty coffee with this roaster. But when it comes to home roasting, I find the whole process and the joy you get from using your roaster pretty important too. If not, I'd just buy good coffee from a local coffee roaster. But those are just my thoughts, everybody's unique and has their own preferences. There must be a reason why so many people love it, I just don't get it ;)
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. At the end it's a matter of taste and preference. Some other roasters like the Hottop or classic drum roasters are more straight forward, Aillio is putting more funktions and settings into the buttons and displays. Yet it's not too difficult to use anyway. By the way - the changing temperatures on the Bullet display as well as on the Gene Café is indicating the target temperature and the acutal temperature.

I don't actually look at values on the roaster very much. The numbers don't move like that on your computer.
@FishOutofWater00

Modern gas roasters are now connected to computers allowing different staff at specialty coffee shops to produce high quality products. Once an excellent roast profile is established it can be replayed by the computer that controls the roast. The same is true with this electric roaster. The software has good visualization on a laptop and is pretty easy to use. You don't need to use much of the button interface when you use a laptop. However, your laptop will not shut up the annoying warning beeps. You must hit a button.

You can see some roasted beans in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKHHhaSHnb1nlZo As you might see, quality of roasts is great with all machines, that we offer. The most important differences (besides quantity) are the level of control a machine offers you: measuring the temperature as well as the settings it offers. Kind regards Ingo

How's the roast quality? Is it any way comparable to Probat? How many roasting cycles per day one can run on a higher side?
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, perfectly comparable. Anyway studies showed, that the machine itself has no influence on the taste. It's how you operate the machine. Since the Bullet is very precise and fast in reading, very powerful and offers all in all a lot of control and ability to repeat roasts quite perfectly, it gives you all you need to create roasts of highest quality. There are people roasting commercially with the Bullet, that reported to me, that they are roasting 4kg green beans per hour for several hours a day.

I just got mine a few days ago, and I can’t figure out how to change the charge temperature of a roast in RoasTime (it just seems to use the default number), and I also can only change it on the panel when it is “Off”, not once it has started preheating. Am I missing something? Seems like a weird feature omission. Thanks
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting 2 жыл бұрын
You can define the preheat temperature in the recipes.

Thanks Ingo, I very much enjoy your videos. I am looking into getting a roaster myself, but don't want to spend too much money. I also found Sandbox Smart R1 to be capable of doing many of the things Bullet or Hottop can. What is your take on it? Pricewise is much cheaper. Can you maybe do a video on it as well? Thanks.
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting 2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it didn't really convince me yet. There is hardly anything you can do when it comes to roasting profiles. But have a look at it yourself - you can download the App and play around with it. Like that you will get an idea, how it works. There isn't anything you can do at the roaster itself, just the setting in the App.

On your website you have mentioned many recipies . Now one question, while calculating the time after first crack, do we have to calculate from the starting point of first crack or from the end point of first crack?. Moreover, one request to you that please share some more profiles for bullet for smaller batch size and especially medium light , medium, medium dark, light etc. Thank you in advance.

@@CoffeeRoasting Thanks a LOT. It will be very helpful. Please post some more roast profiles for smaller batch like 500 gms, 350 gms. Logic behind this is to make learning of coffee roasting more economical. 900gms and 1 kg batches are very costly for learning. Please it's a request. For AILLIO BULLET. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Just bought a bullet, first time on my hands. I have a question, when I want to turn off my roaster I wait until temp is below 80ºc and then I just directly unplug the cable? Is not a button or switch to turn off?? It keeps making some noise below 80ºc. Thanks.

Hi! When I set up my preheat temperature but for some reason it won’t say CHARGE when the preheat temp is met. I would have to manually press PRS to make it say CHARGE. How can I make it automatically tells me to charge instead of me reminding it that it is ready to charge?
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting Жыл бұрын
IBTS preheat temp reached doesn't mean, that the system is ready yet. It's waiting until BT and IBTS are balanced and steady. This can take around 25minutes. If you want consistent roasts, you need to wait until it says charge.

How much temp is p9 or p8... ?
@CoffeeRoasting
@CoffeeRoasting 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anim Good question. It's not directly linked to a temperature, it's the power level with which the induction is working. Similar to a kitchen stove, where you don't set temperatures, but the power level of the stove. I hope, this explanation is clear enough. Kind regards Ingo
