I'm headed back to Roatan next week. It's my third time in 18 months. I stayed at Land's End last year. This was the view from my private balcony. The sound of the sea hitting the Ironside shore was divine. I kept falling asleep while laying in my hammock. This trip I'm staying at the Sea Breeze.

Is it a good place to travel solo

I was solo and had a good time. It's not dangerous and it could be a little slow. If you want to relax and kick back. I highly recommend it. If you are looking for crazy party scene then Roatan might disappoint you. There is night life but it's limited.

There are crimes against female tourists!. Some youngin' driving a moped rode up on me while I was walking up from Land's End to the West End around 11p. I was within site of the Militarized Zone party area. Being intuitive and solo travel savvy, I thwarted his plan to snatch my cell phone.

Oh no! Yeah you definitely have to be careful when travelling. Glad nothing bad happened to you. It's pretty desolate back there after hours near Lands End. It was dark and desolate where I was staying too at night but luckily it was in a safe area.
