Why do you not say, "Corporates must stop paying bribes"? In order for someone to accept a bribe, someone has to offer it, and by far the largest payers of bribes are in the private sector. They line up to buy state assets at a bargain. The private sector has a vested interest in governments failing. In order for private education to succeed, government education must fail; in order for private healthcare to succeed, government healthcare must fail. The private sector must stop paying bribes, and by far, some of the largest payments were from European companies. We often look at a person who accepted a bribe, but in order for something to be accepted, it must be offered. Who are the organizations that make these offers?
