Reminds me of my old Superbrand Fling. How does it sit next to a Mashup? Is this more grovel? Tail and outline looks like it. I can never get off the Mashup, and love the Helium builds. Is the grey swirl coming out in New Zealand?

How does it comparer to the sweetpotato? Does it mean surf same kind of waves with a bit more performance or it fits a diferent spot on the quiver.. kind of between the SP and Seaside..?

I was thinking the same. My Sweet Potato is my go to, crazy fun, and catches everything. Hoping this is a Machado twist on the SP.

Based on what I read online, the cado is a groveler. It has the same wave range as the Sweet Potato. However i dont think it grovels better than the SP based on the specs and design. Both boards look fun but I’ll lean more towards Dan Mann boards because he surfs and shapes for the avg person

The Machadocado is max fun in weak waves, but it also holds in good waves because of how thinned out the shape's foil is in the tail, and also because of the size of the front two fins in Rob's new 2 + 1 fin set. Rob designed the Machadocado in alignment with this all-new fin template specifically to enable all around performance in a variety of wave conditions. The Sweet Potato is the absolute best shape ever in the weakest of waves imaginable, but the Machadocado has more versatility as the waves get bigger. Both boards are worth keeping in your quiver for fun everyday, in waves 1 foot to head high.

@@firewiresurfboards nevertheless, a better wave hydrid retro has been missing in your line up for years now ( i ride the seaside ). That gets me to seek it elsewhere. I ve looked at the album insanity, the lost retro ripper for exemple, but i believe rob and you guys can do a lot better

@@biff022 the seaside has it all for that category, it s even more foiled out. why try to replace a perfect performance hybrid fish ? and never come up with a good wave board, it s beyond me 😭 i keep paddling out for my biggest sessions with the seaside and i struggle 😂
