@gannibalof21st imma just be watching good teams play.. I get league pass every year and would watch every Lakers game every night and I'm not doing that anymore.. I've never been a lebron fan anyways so the last 5 seasons was very difficult for me to watch. It's always about him, the media and commentary portray him as a top 5 player and shove him down your throat, and then it's never lebrons fault. I'm tired of it

I’ve been watching the NBA for over 30 years. I love basketball. Last year, I decided to quit watching the NBA. It’s very clear to me, that there is a serious and very real lack of competitive integrity within the league, and things are only getting worse. I’m no conspiracy theorist, don’t insult my intelligence with this garbage. The NBA is fundamentally broken, and we can all see it.

It's not just the Lakers. Clearly the Play-in and In-Season tournaments are for LeBron James's benefit. Not to mention, The way he operates within any team organization has set a toxic example that many other players are now following. He has damaged the integrity of the entire NBA. It is now completely unwatchable. Adam Silver and LeBron James have all but ruined the NBA.

Front office shenanigans is nowhere near the level of stupidity it is to draft a guy this far away from belonging in the league. It's not just that he was picked where he shouldn't have been - it's because without his dad - HE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN PICKED BY ANYONE AT ALL lol.... Hiding your kid in the front office in some do-nothing clerical role that doesn't affect the teams operation, is NOT the same as wasting a draft pick on some absolute pleb who can't contribute on the floor.. And then presumably wasting an actual roster spot and playing time, on the same pleb. The klutch sports "nepotism is everywhere so it's ok" narrative does not hold water. This is way different.

Thanasis is a 2x Greek League Champion, 1x Greek Cup winner, 2x Greek All-Star, 2x GBL All-Star Game MVP, and made the NBA D-League All Defensive 2nd and 3rd team. Thanasis earned his way into the NBA. He just stinks in the NBA and should have earned his way out by now. Giannis only helped him stay in the league. He got himself drafted by the Knicks the old fashioned way. By impressing scouts. It's not comparable to Bronny first of all, second of all, everyone agrees and says that Thanasis doesn't belong in the league at this point.

There’s different levels of nepotism. With Giannis, don’t forget he was a foreigner with a different culture all by himself in America. Point being it’s not apples to apples with respect to Bronny. Bronny’s case is the worst kind of nepotism but at the same time, the Lakers can do whatever they want. It’s their prerogative to draft Bronny if they want to keep Lebron happy. The real question is if another team had drafted Bronny, would Lebron have resigned with the Lakers?

Imagine a Movie about Steve Ballmer, who gets a cancer diagnosis and that he only has about a year to live. Then he decides to live his biggest dream before dying: to play professional basketball in the NBA, so that he drafts hisself with the fourth pick. The Clippers may win the chip cause everyone feels with this poor man and they let him win. He even gets the MVP. But someone finds out that Ballmer really doesn't have cancer. He just pretends his diagnosis to get the sympathy of the crowd . Would be a great movie. In the end Ballmer wants to play with Bronny on a Team. He says that this is his biggest dream as player, to play with Bronny James on the clippers, but Lebron doesn't want it, and so he plays a 1 on 1 against Ballmer. The Winner gets the chance to get Bronny as his Point Guard. Could be the second Part of The NBA Nepotism Trilogy. If someone has an idea for the third part: let me know.

I get what Rob is saying, and he is right. It's a bad look. LBJ participation trophied his son into the league, and it's a black eye for sports and for the NBA. This isn't an HC making his son a position coach, which is a level entry position. He got his son drafted to a professional franchise and not just any franchise, one of the most storied in history. The kid would be lucky to hold his own in the euro leagues. Bench player averaging 4 points a game. He couldn't start at USC and could not go to a top 5 program because he wouldn't have ever played. The NBA at one time had 30 million Americans watching the league. Now, the NBA finals get fewer viewers than regular season Catlin Clark game, and now you see why. He has absolutely left the league in terrible shape.
