I just got both cuttings for I-258 and Genovese Nero AF. I had no idea they could be the same fig. Time will tell... :)

keep in mind Rob's Genovese Nero and Genovese Nero are different figs

I know this is 5 years late but for anyone else stumbling in on this video, rob's GN is now believed to be closer to a CA brown turkey than to the GN AF or I-258

Is Rob's GN productive for you or is it pretty stingy in overall? I understand they're huge fruits, but i mean overall yield in weight is what I'm getting at

Yes he did but he kept calling it Genovese Nero AF, he forgot he picked a I 258.

If I remember correctly, I258 was one of several varieties that were found in Italy. They were all numbered for identification and research.
