Apologizing is an admission of guilt. Once you've admitted that you're guilty, your sentence is justified. Apologizing isn't inherently wrong if you did something for which an apology is truly warranted. However, If you're being cancelled by the left, you're getting cancelled no matter what you do. Your apology is just further justification of your guilt and you're therefore not worthy forgiveness.

As an American who happens to be black, I was so disappointed when Megyn Kelly apologized for asking the question, "are there situations when black-face is appropriate?" One of the best Original Star Trek episodes is "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield," an episode where two of the characters were in black face. It is worthwhile noting that Star Trek was an NBC property when the episode aired on January 10, 1969. And who can forget the 1964 film version of the book, "Black Like Me." In my opinion, both the Star Trek episode, "Let THat Be Your Last Battlefield," and book and movie, "Black Like Me" had extreme social redeeming value. And they had characters in black face.
