Thank you for doing these interviews. Just discovering them all in 2023 and loving them. Never doubt that they're important or impactful

This interview is amazing and Rob is an amazing artist but the star of this video is that Disney cup on the table there. I grew up with that same set of cups, i rarely see them anywhere.

Hahah I'll tell my mom she's got a collector's item there! I think there are 4 of em, and I've been drinking out of them my whole life haha

Watching the Pat the Bunny interview then watching this is like black and white. Your interview skills have greatly improved. Good shit.

I remember watching this in like September 2020 and falling in love with the idea of God Forgive These Bastards (the book and the album) and knew I had to get it, ended up getting in in December and do not at al regret it. I need to re-listen to it soon.

I am certain Rob ate a bunch of bbq before this interview and got it all over his shirt. Love the video, thank you!

We actually went out to Uncle Bill's Pancake House and had a big old scrambled egg and pancake breakfast! But it's possible he's wearing some of that delicious raspberry syrup.

"Wrapping this up" *Further 20 minutes until the end*
@AFistfulOfVinyl4 жыл бұрын
It's now an ongoing joke when we talk on the phone. "Alright let's wrap this up. So how's your mom? Dude did I tell you this crazy story about what happened when I was on my bike? Okay so... "

Holy shit, you told me it was your longest interview possibly ever, but WOW am I hyped for this What did the carboard packaging in your GFTB record say? I got a "keep the fight alive!" And an odd squiggle that I haven't quite been able to discern lol

I love this series so freakin much, it's been the main inspiration for me to get on the path to becoming a journalist and starting a diy label, also this interview kicked ass. I always feel so chill when watching your interviews, it reminds me of sitting down with an old friend while they play you a song and ending up shooting the shit with them for a few hours

Can we get a taxpayer show list if possible? (despite covid) When are they coming to Denver?

Kyle Davila I don't play shows too often, but will let you know if that changes. Got love for Denver, though - played Compost Heap Fest there last summer and got to meet the Chumbawumba dude!

My mans gave up anarchy for the 12 steps.... Weak
@robtaxpayer4 жыл бұрын
You know, I never did the 12 steps; I know some people that it worked for, but it wasn't for me - I had to quit booze in a different way. But me and anarchism had parted ways long before that, closer to 2008 or so. Our love affair only lasted for about a year or two. I wrote a song about leaving it in 2008 called, "This Building is Falling Down". It's not that I disavowed every tenet of it - in fact, there are certain tenets of it that I still carry with me; mutual aid, self determination, etc, but the zealotry of anarcho-punk turned me away from it. Life seems too complicated to encapsulate with any one ism. You take a little of this ism, a little of that ism, and you find something that works for you. edit - too, not to. letters matter. somewhat.

@@robtaxpayer Hey man thanks for responding. I'll listen to that song. You made some good points. I'll still be an Anarcho Syndicalist for now, but I'll keep my mind open, also this was mostly a joke (I don't think you're actually weak) I didn't expect the actual dude to reply. Pretty cool that you did tho not gonna lie.
