Every now and then ECW would throw in an anti-hardcore troll like the ending. Traditionally, it wouldn't make sense that the babyface won and was still going to assault the heel with a table, but heel reverses it and refuses to put babyface through the table? In the world of ECW and the tween-age of the characters, it works.
