DJ vinyl vertigo is great. I liked the Chicago trip video also. Happy 2024!

Hi, great response to the tag questions. Good choice for the Bee Gees being from Manchester. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

As per usual I know very little of what you showed! Happy 2024 Richard. Looking forward to more Guncle fantasticness this year!

Nice response! Cool pick on Bee Gees and Manchester. Probably not many making that association. I had to get the two Zappa studio albums as well.

Hey Richard. RIP Jeff Beck! When I chose the Bee Gees it angered a few people in the comments. Soren’s channel is really cool and he shows some great psych! That Jungle Fever album looks so cool! I’ll have to check it out. Crime of the Century 👍 Great tag sir!

Great choices Richard! I’ve never listened to Sakamoto at all, but need to give him a go. Working Man’s Dead is so good, maybe my favourite Dead record. Great to hear a shout out for Spiderland… cult album. Did my first tag, check it out Richard! Looking forward to watching more, Jack

Car seat headrest was quite a shock! I really tried with them but there just not my thing. They seem to be really popular with alot of my generation. I had abbey road, I played it twice and traded it in for a Canadian pressing of low by Bowie.

Great rationale for choosing the 1970’s Richard. The Gibbs definitely Manchester. Bjork and Syd Barrett wow…..that would be an interesting discussion. Jeff Beck great choice, I saw him with the Stones a few years ago and he was amazing. Abbey Road yes I’m a multi-copies man! Who’s Next wonderful album. Mike

Thanks for watching! I have a feeling Barrett and Bjork would get along famously.

Interesting pick with Sakamoto. Didn’t sound like I was expecting. Have you ever heard Global Communications ‘76:14’ It came out in 1994. Bit of an ambient classic, does contain some beats, but a bit of a nineties minimal masterpiece.

I’m not sure how involved Syd Barrett would be in the conversation. I had never heard of Slint until watching vc videos.

LOL, fair enough about Syd Barrett's ability to converse. My theory is he became uncommunicative in part because he could see the future and what kind of person Roger Waters would become.

I was pretty in-tune with alternative music in the early 90s and it was a few years after release before I was aware of Slint. The band was gone, they weren't touring, and so it (almost) slipped under the cracks. Great tag, Richard!

I almost chose The Bee Gees for Manchester also. I took me until I was in my 30s to get a Grateful Dead album. I got that Jungle Fever album, did you buy that in Midland? I need to play that again. Great tag Richard
@calvinwazoo8 ай бұрын
Thanks. The funk album I got in Midland was a Mandrill record.
