Textbook Ruthlessford. 2 top pairs in top 6 + a ton of interchangeable/flexible pieces that can move up & down the lineup. Two stud D (1 A+) with size and depth to back it up. Stellar tending. Amazing cap management.

Right now, I think it's Miller's to lose, but you can go with 1A 1B at this point. You can have 2 top lines. But Pettersson has to get back to being a 100 point player if they have any chance of duplicating last season's success. I say this as someone who was not a Miller fan 2 seasons ago. I've enjoyed him for most of his time here, but 2 years ago, he was scary, and not in a good way. This year, much improved. I can't complain about him as a 1C. It's better for the Canucks, though, if you can roll 2 lines and it doesn't matter who gets more ice time. It depends on the opposition. I know some people just flat out hate European players, but some of the best players the Canucks have ever had have been from Europe. It was the Canadians and Americans who couldn't pull their weight, if we're playing the nationality game, and that's pretty silly. Right now, if Silovs can handle 35 games, that's probably ideal at this point. We'll see if the defense can clear opposition players from the front of the net effectively next year, because that will be key.
