I ordered that blu ray from a seller at amazon and they sent a double feature blu ray of Texas Chainsaw 2003 and its prequel, back in 2013. Yesterday I met Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor Compton at Days Of The Dead Las Vegas. They were cool. About that 10 disc blu ray set, I saw it for 50 $ at Wal Mart 3 years ago and now I knew I should have bought it.

Most of the Halloween franchise movies are still fairly easy to track down as individual releases though. The Miramax trilogy (Curse of Michael Myers, H20 and Resurrection) just recently got a triple feature re-release. So honestly, I really don't think it's worth paying the crazy high prices that the the complete collection sets currently can go for. Halloween is a popular enough franchise that I actually wouldn't be surprised if another "complete" collection got released a few years down the road. Friday the 13th just got the complete series released again, so why not Halloween? My guess is after "Halloween Kills" and "Halloween Ends" get released, you might see an ultimate complete set that has everything (including the new trilogy).

@@discfunctionalcommentary2775 it is 12 dollars for the Rob Zombie bluray duo at Walmart. Not sure what u r talking about. Maybe it went down. But as far as scary as the young Michael Meyers, just look at a mental hospital !! PTSD is no joke!!

4:20 True, but after I finally started buying Blu Rays. It took me a few years.......Finally finished when it finally clicked into my head to just use Amazon.

I have to say the theatrical version of the first Halloween is better also, because of the scene where Michael breaks out of the asylum. The added rape scene in the extended cut is just unnecessary.

And then randomly this year they rereleased them on Blu-Ray with both cuts.... it took this long to do that?

Is it possible to get Rob Zombies Halloween 1 theatrical cut on dvd or is it only on that blu ray?
@discfunctionalcommentary27754 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I though for sure that the theatrical cut was once available on DVD. However, when doing a quick search, I was only able to come across the unrated version. I know the version that I used to have on DVD was the unrated version. I suppose it is possible that it was never made available apart from this Blu-ray release.

Are both movies on the same disc or separate discs?
@discfunctionalcommentary27755 жыл бұрын
They are both on the same disc. However, there are no additional special features included. Just the two movies so still a pretty good use of the available space.

Obviously the first one is better. But did you want the exact same film? Zombies take on young myers was fine. Coming from a fanboy.

I actually was kind of excited when I originally heard that Zombie was going to be directing the remake. I felt a director like him was going to be able to have an interesting vision to the film and bring the franchise into a cool new direction. However in the end I actually thought the first Zombie film played it a little too safe. Apart from the young Myers backstory (which I wasn't a big fan of) it was pretty much the same (in terms of narrative structure) as the original. As I said in the video however, I was a fan of the intensity of the film. The second film certainly did go into a different direction and Zombie kind of did his own thing with that one (for better or for worse).
