Great video man, my favorite film of all time. I know I'm late to the party but I watch this film all the time and I'm always searching for different cuts.

Thanks for feedback. I mentioned it before on the comments, but there is a collection coming out from Second Sight later this year that has all of the alternate cuts on 4K UHD (or Blu-ray depending on which version you get). It's loaded with extras as well and looks to be a fantastic set. I've already pre-ordered my copy.

just came across your channel! very cool you are giving people the heads up on this unknown Import... I somehow came across this set when it first got released (originally bought just the blu-ray set) since i only had a 4k tv at the time figured why bother with the 4k Set then maybe 2months later gambled and double dipped with the 4k Set (Both sets were under $90 US dollars but, the S&h was brutal bought directly from Amazon.It took super long both times (hands down the longest i’ve waited to get any import....) within a year the set was out of print i guess it was just a timed exclusive which is a shame it’s a solid set very few people knew about 😢 i’m sure with the Second Sight blu-ray/4K box set this set might be easier to get???

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I remember coming across this set by accident when I picked it up. I was kind of surprised that I hadn't heard about it at the time and never really saw anybody talking about it. It's definitely a solid collection and was well worth the money for a "Dawn" fan (I want to say I got mine for around 50 or 60 USD). I've heard of the Second Sight set and that definitely looks like another solid collection. I suppose this Italian release may become easier to find after the Second Sight set releases as some people may pick up that collection as a replacement for this one. I guess we'll have to see.

Thank you for the great video! Nevertheless, I would have 2 questions, that might also be interesting for other people. 1: Is the image quality of the 4K version noticeably better than that of the normal Blu Ray? 2: Are the extras on the bonus disk in HD or SD?

I do see a difference between the 4K disc and the standard Blu-rays. The amount of difference that you may or may not notice will probably depend on your setup (player, TV, etc...). The 4K disc does not have HDR support so it's just a resolution and clarity difference. Now all of that being said, I think the standard Blu-ray discs look great on their own. While I do notice a difference between the two formats, the amount of difference that I notice isn't what I would describe as "extreme". The extras on the bonus disc are mixed. Some of them are SD while others are HD. It depends on which feature and what the source resolution was that they pulled the content from. When I did this video, I was not yet aware of the set that is coming out from Second Sight later this year. I've already pre-ordered my copy of that set and it will likely be replacing this one in my collection. All of the various cuts of the film are on UHD discs for that set and the Theatrical and Extended cuts are presented in HDR10+. The collection is also loaded with extras. At the time, this Italian release was great. While it still is a great collection, I would probably recommend ordering a copy of the set from Second Sight instead. Everything I've seen about that collection leads me to believe that it will end up being the superior product.
