I completely picked up on that! I saw another comment talking about how he was aching for a fix, but I didn't think of that at all. Sometimes I act like this (not this extreme, but still visibly uncomfortable or jittery) because I have very bad anxiety. Not everyone that acts like this does drugs. He just looks like he's suffering through his anxiety but still trying to hold it together and be as outgoing as he can be. I also didn't know he was so good-looking! I like some of his songs (my favorite is Living Dead Girl) and almost all of his movies and didn't even know he was this attractive lol. It was a great interview!

I got free tickets to a Rob Zombie performance around 2012. Slayer opened for them. Their set went swimmingly. Then Rob Zombie's set got delayed for at least 20 minutes. Turns out the delay was related to the pyrotechnics. This was a big deal because of a 10:00pm sound ordinance causing them to not have the time to finish their set before ten. It's a big fee every minute they go over. Not only did they finished their set, they did an encore. Never experienced that level of showmanship before or since. Mad respect.

Conan’s backdrop here debuted before 9/11 and briefly included the Twin Towers, (then they were obviously removed). After watching Late Night from the very beginning, I felt like this backdrop drastically changed the look and feel of the show….it made it feel more ‘spacious’, and the lighting is def. ‘brighter’. Such a contrast from the look of the 1993-2000 episodes. Plus, High Definition TV was ‘new’ at this time, so people were seeing Conan in HD for the first time…which I’m sure helped contribute to the different look & feel of the show.

Christ, I grew up with a framed "Zappa Crappa" (without title or name on it) poster in my parent's en suite bathroom and never knew who that guy was - as a child I had seen photos of my dad from the 70s and he looked kinda like "that guy on the toilet" but also my dad looked like "those pictures in the basement" (other black and whites of bands/band members from the 70s). It wasn't until my early teens that I asked about what I now know is the "Zappa Crappa" and my dad laughed hysterically and told me all about Frank Zappa and played some records for me. Not my taste haha. He raised me well on Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, etc. To put in context...most of the displayed artwork in our house growing up was not of that type - mostly it was museum art type of stuff haha. The en suite bathroom and the basement (which is and always has been my dad's "space" and is now is drum room) was always a confusing place to be as an uninformed child.

At one particularly weird point in my life (a mere two years ago) - I worked the traveling carnival circuit across four states. ROB IS IN NO WAY EXAGGERATING THE ENVIRONMENT. Most of the employees had felonious histories - and alcohol and hard drugs like heroin and methamphetamine flowed like water. I’d feel safer taking my kids to a rattlesnake petting zoo, to be entirely honest. Much safer, in my opinion.

Don't forget the scam carnival games that make a guy spend his life savings on a giant stuffed panda made in china by a four year old in a sweat shop for pennies
@unbrokenandalive10893 жыл бұрын
@@Jason0binladen You are exactly right. At one point during my stay there - I almost considered creating a KZbin video that would reveal HOW THOSE GAMES HUSTLE THE UNWITTING PAYING CUSTOMER. Hopefully someone has done that already. Suffice it to say - the odds are heavily stacked against the consumer. In the end - the "prizes" aren't worth the price payed to play the game. Remember: Game = scam.

Don't you have to be on drugs and a little unhinged to work in that field? No offense or anything.
@unbrokenandalive10893 жыл бұрын
@@UpsonPrattJr. Great question! Although I managed to survive ALIVE following the untimely dissolution of my marriage - the associated trauma DID shatter me somewhat. Some experts call my semi-instinctive response to this travesty "fight or flight". Fighting (or flogging the proverbial dead horse) would only have been MORE counterproductive -- so I gathered together some vital necessities AND RAN. The drastic change - as utterly insane as it was - gave me time to rethink and reevaluate. FYI - mental/emotional instability and/or the abuse of illicit substances AREN'T required prerequisites for carnival employment -- however, they may be required for SOME of those persons who opt to make A CAREER out of it.
