What I love about Rob is that he's not afraid to be creative. Yeah some of his movies aren't the greatest, but he wasn't afraid to try and do it.

I think that The Devil's Rejects is Rob's masterpiece. Such a good and FUN movie. Basically every line in that movie is perfect and makes you smile. And then the violence... It's not over the top but it's gruesome. The soundtrack is just perfect and the actors really did an amazing job. And the movie's I watch on and around Halloween is Halloween, The Exorcist, Prince Of Darkness or a few good Masters Of Horror episodes. For Christmas, of course Black Christmas

I have never not enjoyed a Rob Zombie film. As a huge fan of horror, I really admire both his skills in creating and sustaining a mood, and his underheralded attention to detail. For example, every living space (house, apartment, winnebago, motel room, abbatoir, what have you) looks like people have actually _lived_ there, and every element those spaces contain is there for a reason that's directly connected to the characters, whether it's the kitchen sink clutter of the Firefly home in *_House of 1000 Corpses_* or the apartments in *_The Lords of Salem._*
@flannel3963 жыл бұрын
If Lords of Salem was released today by Ari Aster who created Hereditary and Midsommer, it would be praised to hell. Lords of Salem is one of my favourite horrors of the 2010s and I said that when I first saw it.

rob zombie should get involved in the incedious films. I think he could make it so much more scary. the films are good, and they have a few good jump scares, but if rob got involved, it would put you under your seat at the theater, or lock your doors at the drive in. wish it would happen.

WTF??! Jaws?!! Is he fuckin serious?? That movie barely even scares me! That movie excites me more than it scares me. I don't see what's the whole thing of Jaws being considered an actual horror film, that movie is more of a thriller and suspense than a actual horror film. Anyways I was expecting Rob to say The Exorcist, The Omen, or Night of The Living Dead or something.
@flannel3963 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've never really understood that either. I mean sure I can imagine people might have been kind of scared I guess when it came out. But it's really not scary scary. The Exorcist is far more scary and people were exposed to that before Jaws!

THIS! I've been saying it for years. He's an amazing director. He's always directed all of his music videos. Great visual artist, and artist in general. He always did all the White Zombie artwork and the hallucination scene from Beavis and Butthead Do America. But his shortcomings are the actual scripts and dialogue. He can come up with a decent story and direct the shit out of it, I just wish the writing were a little better. Then he'd probably be held in the same regard as all those directors who inspired him. Still love the guy though.
