I just realised that, just like how this is the only arrangement from this channel with lyrics, Don't Ever Forget's scene is also the only moment in the game where the main protagonist speaks. Kinda fitting lol

Couldn't put my finger on it til they started singing, but this had such intense Neighborhood energy. As a standalone piece it fits right into the genre, including the Lamprey Hole-esque duet lol

When I first saw your other video on Dialga's Fight, I wanted to check if you've done more on the ost of the same game, after finding this video and a first watch, I remembered that I've played this game before (Explorers of Darkness), but it was so long ago that I can't even remember the story except the gameplay loop. After the end of the listen I grab my old DSI and started a new game on the Sky version, ready to explore this story once again. I know this song and the Dialga one will be in it, but since they are technicacly "remixes", I'll still have to hear the original ones for the first time, again. Never the less, this song made me really in awe and admiration for what stories lay inside a such simple game. I must thank you so much for this song and the odd of me randomly finding it.
@FiveNineSquared11 ай бұрын
I'm glad that your DSi still works well! Hope you had fun revisiting the game.
@Zhugo8311 ай бұрын
@@FiveNineSquared Yes thanks! The game was a joy to replay, I was shocked that I barely remembered the story so far! Although I also did the Post story, included in the sky version and all the other stories, I can't thank you enough for reminding me of this beautiful game.

This is really REALLY good I don't know where to start. It is an incredibly unique but welcome take on this track, with all the new chords twist, the arrangement style, and the instrumentation. The UTAU vocal duet bit actually left me in tears, it reminds me of a long-lost dear close friend who was really into k-style songs. That memory combined with the lyrics itself hits really close to home. You did a phenomenal job on this!
@FiveNineSquared Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm very into K too, their stuff influenced me a lot in the last two years.
@ArceusOfTheTacos Жыл бұрын
I've listened to this particular remix at minimum over a hundred times throughout the past week. The original song was nice, you made it with better instruments and of course, rescored it to make the song flow better. You've also added references from other songs in the game and as the cherry on top: the Japanese duet was absolutely beautiful, especially if you took the time to read the English subtitles. I've listened to a lot of Pokémon song remixes. After forming an opinion around it throughout the month, I think it's fair to say that this is one of, if not my favorite remix out of all of the remixes ever posted online. Phenomenal work!!
@FiveNineSquared Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Well, I wouldn't say these instruments are "better" per se. After all the original was limited a lot by hardware and I think the sound team actually got quite a lot out of the sounds they used! Honoured to take that title though. Still I'm sure there are better remixes out there heheheh.

@FiveNineSquared I can see what you mean by semi-lofi haha man your mv really makes me want to do a RD level of this.. especially once you get to the UTAU bits, I think copying the mv could make a pretty cool level in terms of visual style, and the music leads to some pretty interesting but simple gameplay if I do decide to make a level i'll have to ask you if I can borrow some of these assets hehe

It's always amazing this lo-fi hip hop type of themes, the instrumental leaves you with the phrases: "I want more of this beat" and "This beat it a little bit cheerful, so it doesn't feat X theme", but at the end, it ends up being way more memorable than one thinks, truly beats that you won't forget.

omg the vocal part I was SO not ready to this (and the subtitles aaa) I don't have words ezcrzekjrxzrziue this is such a great idea and it fits so well?? This is definitely one of my favorite PMD remix ever Really, it's a very surprising remix and it's absolutely wonderful I first just discovered your Dialga's Fight to the Finish and it was super interesting to see this musical style, it really was chaotic but it was so well done! (btw I thought it fits so much a fight against Primal Dialga, as he lost himself and the time was really disrupted) But I wasn't ready to this Don't Ever Forget remix either, they are both very different with a whole different mood but you did such a great job on both I just love how unique are your remix!!
