Suggestion for the top tray: keep it empty, and place all the pencils, blenders, etc you're using for your current project on the top tray so you can find them easily.

These trays are a brilliant idea and just what I need for my drawing desk. Currently I keep all of my pencils in their original manufacturer's boxes, which makes it a pain when I need to get a pencil from the bottom row/tray. I can't wait to get these and save a bunch of space on my desk and time out of my projects! Thanks so much for posting this - I had no idea these were even a thing.

Thx for sharing... I agree that the plastic holder is a bit more convenient.. but it is only $24 cheaper so getting the heavier model isn't the worst idea. Nice that you can stack about 10 trays in the plastic one... also, pretty easy to build a stand yourself or repurpose something else... think I will go and just buy the trays and give that a shot!

The trays are pretty cool alone.. If you lean them against a wall they stay and you can go higher but if you move them you could have a serious mess!

You can always just start with a 4pk. Add on if you like them.. I really like having all the pencils out where I can see them.

Do you think these would work for bead tubes? May not be enough space between each pencil groove?

can they be stacked square/straight on top of each other in addition to the offset stack you show in this vid? for instance, if i want to put a two or three stack in a drawer but dont want the stack offset.

Hi I Loved your video and I ordered the trays.... Could you tell me if you organize your pencils by color no matter the brand or keep them organized by brand no matter the color... so organize by brand or color on the trays which is easier would you say?

Will they stack straight up or only back leaning?

They need to be leaning after 5 trays.. Maybe 6? 5 trays will free stand...

Jack Piddington they are not available on Amazon. Do you have to buy them from the manufacturer directly the address is in the video notes it's Robax Engineering.. I deal with him pretty regularly no problem getting them shipped anywhere in the country or the world for that matter!

is it possible to write ( pencil number ) in pencil rows (OCD), so I can see it when remove pencil?

You probably could with a sharpie but I would not recommend it! There is not much space and I think it may be harder to keep in order.. Also, when pencils are in the slots, it may block the numbers..
