I prefer these versions with the Tele, rather than the SG. All are perfect, tone, lyric, band.

Robben had a great sound early on with the Charles Ford Band. He played an L5 with Stan Poplin on bass, Jimmy Baum on drums and often Backing up Jimmy Witherspoon. He was probably the greatest blues guitarist alive. The years were early 1970s. He was an early influence for me as a guitarist but this band doesn’t really touch what he was ‘back in the day’.
