Sweeeet, as usual Maestro Ford! your voice is still a fine instrument as well, do you do vocal exercises as well? Seriously curioso about that Robben!??
@brachashighhopeshomestead226 Жыл бұрын
in a recent talk he mentioned that he does vocal exercising before his performances that day.
I've never seen an SG that used "The Gibson" logo, with torch inlay instead of usual thingy. Must be a custom shop creation? Robben makes any guitar happen!

As Robben states in an interview somewhere... Almost nothing is original on this guitar... A long time ago they replaced the headstock/overlay...

The drummer's style sort of similar to Billy Kreutzman...anyone else think so, or not so? 😊
@anthonyp-gx3mk Жыл бұрын
Interesting song. The timing is very different. The verses are a 2 bar rhythm. 3/4 and then 4/4. And drummer hits the the back beat on off beat which Is the 3+ instead of the usual 2 and 4. I wish more bands took risks like this. A great example how you can take a non standard rhythm and make it groovy.

Why NOT?

Probably wanted a little more of that sparky funk and direct/forward/stinging lead tone. I love the tone from the Tele, would not have come through the same on the SG. I’ve seen him switch to other guitars like the 335 during the bridge too when he wanted that warm sustain for days type thing for the lead tone too. Just what he’s feeling I imagine.

from what I remember - some tuning issues... Temprature dropped and SG felt it.

I've always loved Robben, but I can never understand why he insists on playing "copy" guitars. Surely, you can afford a Gibson?
