Yes but it's not a frag it's a flashbang it is Doctrine for the person deploying the ordinance too show it to the team lead to verify he has the correct munition for use of the breach

I love the character and he's a really great character but rationally speaking you can't and shouldn't root for him. He's not right in the head and he's not a cop he's an executioner, at the same time it's always hard to judge him given where he lives, what he's seen and in part also just had to do. For every criminal he could have potentially arrested properly there were three others he had to put down. Like in the prison, yeah they were all criminals and convicted, most of them he could likely have managed to get to give up and be arrested but he chose to mow them down with his team, at least 80% of them would have given up I imagine if given the opportunity. But hey a good character is a good character.

I think this is debatable. At this point in the series (three or four episodes into S3), Robert has only one kill that wasn't justified. Everything he and his team did in the prison was above board, imho.

@@mortified_penguin2355 he had 3 unjustified shootings in the first floor of the prison alone. 1 unarmed in the guard station who got swiss cheesed 50 times for looking down the wrong hatch. Then when they climbed out from the hatchhe smoked 2 unarmed guys on the stairs for the fun of it.

@@bonelesspancake3519 I will step back and conced that Robert definitely has some unjustified shootings to his name, but the prison takeover is such an extreme situation and would be unprecedented if it happened irl; it's hard to say how the SWAT response would be judged. It's entirely possible that given the circumstances - the large number of armed inmates simulating a light infantry threat and the presence of National Guardsmen who were authorized to engage inmates at will as soon as the first shots were fired - that KPD's use of force matrix would be relaxed. All of this is to say that Robert is definitely a renegade who plays by his own rules and decides on his own ROE, but he only acts as an "executioner" once, and the show/actor otherwise does not portray him as the bloodthirsty maniac certain other characters describe him as.
