[Verse 1] Tell me a story Where we all change And we'd live our lives together And not enstranged [Pre-Chorus] I didn't lose my mind it was Mine to give away Couldn't stay to watch me cry You didn't have the time So I softly slip away... [Chorus] No regrets they don't work No regrets they only hurt Sing me a love song Drop me a line Suppose it's just a point of view But they tell me I'm doing fine [Verse 2] I know from the outside We looked good for each other Felt things were going wrong When you didn't like my mother Ad [Pre-Chorus] I don't want to hate but that's All you've left me with A bitter aftertaste and a fantasy of How we all could live [Chorus] No regrets they don't work No regrets they only hurt (We've been told you stay up late) I know they're still talking (You're far too short to carry weight) The demons in your head (Return the videos they're late) If I could just stop hating you (Goodbye) I'd feel sorry for us instead [Bridge] Remember the photographs (insane) The ones where we all laugh (so lame) We were having the time of our lives Well thank you it was a real blast [Chorus] No regrets they don't work No regrets they only hurt Write me a love song Drop me a line Suppose it's just a point of view But they tell me I'm doing fine [Outro] Everything I wanted to be Every time I walked away Everytime you told me to leave I just wanted to stay Every time you looked at me and Everytime you smiled I felt so vacant you treat me like a child I loved the way we used to laugh I loved the way we used to smile Often I sit down and think of you for a while Then it passes me by and I think of someone else instead I guess the love we once had is Officially dead

He worked with a musician called Guy Chambers, who wrote the music, while he wrote the lyrics and melodies. Guy worked with other people and his work was never as good, Robbie likewise. Robbie wrote some catchy nonsense at times, Rock DJ being an example, but how many times did he bare his soul and just capture that feeling we couldn't quite nail? This song is all that and more. So glad he did well after leaving Take That and was able to reconcile and reunite with them at a time when they needed one another.

This song is simply ahead of it's time. It is so endearing to listen after so many decades. It just sounds so current

Only when you experience lack of love you are able to understand every single word of this song😔. Thank you for the Pet Shop Boys influence. One from absolutelly best songs from him 😍😍💟💟

This song is everything and his eyes are just so deep, emotive and beautiful 💖For you astrology nerds out there like me, he's an ♒ aquarian with a Scorpio moon and this song really embodies the dark and intense emotions of a scorpio moon because that love runs so deep, but when it ends it feels like hate, but love and hate are both connected so it's still love... If you hate them then you still love them 😉 I'm a moon/pluto girl so I can relate to these dark intense emotions too which is probably why I was always drawn to Robbie and his music 🎶.

this guy has my heart after watching Netflix's documentary, not for the obvious talent, but because he speaks out about depression, anxiety and addiction so openly ...more men need to do this as suicide in men is on the increase, im glad he has found some happines with the help of his wife and professionals no doubt. The strength he showed when having to complete his tour when he was having a melt down tells me he is a unique and wonderful guy and didnt want to let those down who worked with him .this guy is a legend imo

who walked away thou that's is the question ?

+Elizabeth Steedman Robbie walked away after the rest of Take That ganged up on him. They gave him an ultimatum to conform or leave the group when he needed they're loyalty and understanding. After he left he became successful solo artist and they fell from grace although they did have a little swansong and reunion some year's later.

He wrote this song about his ex band, i have ever read the reason of robbie from one of entertaiment news why got out from take that, this song was revealing of it, it was really hurt him. However, I heard him reunited with all members of take that, but i did not know, i just read the news about him 5 years ago, it was so long. Might be by this, he become the great singer, work so hard with his idealism then it worked.

When I had studied to finish my PhD in Belgium. I found this music fortunately. When I worked Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea to fulfill my postdoc, I re-found this music. Robbie Williams is amazing.

I find he's got some truly underrated stuff. I remember in the 00s the trouble was everyone's mum thought he was really sexy, so it kinda put you off. Haha
