He worked with a musician called Guy Chambers, who wrote the music, while he wrote the lyrics and melodies. Guy worked with other people and his work was never as good, Robbie likewise. Robbie wrote some catchy nonsense at times, Rock DJ being an example, but how many times did he bare his soul and just capture that feeling we couldn't quite nail? This song is all that and more. I could relate to this when he released it, I still can. I was so angry. I even wrote the lyrics in a notebook so I could feel better somehow and cope. I feel catarsis from the past now, I didn't know Neil Tennant was singing, I was so young I couldn't tell and I didn't know much about the PSB either, well I love them now, all I know is that this song was love at first listening and I really needed it, Thank you Robbie and Neil.

this guy has my heart after watching Netflix's documentary, not for the obvious talent, but because he speaks out about depression, anxiety and addiction so openly ...more men need to do this as suicide in men is on the increase, im glad he has found some happines with the help of his wife and professionals no doubt. The strength he showed when having to complete his tour when he was having a melt down tells me he is a unique and wonderful guy and didnt want to let those down who worked with him .this guy is a legend imo

Weird how music works, I've loved alternative music, rock, pop punk, emo, you name it, since I left school at the turn of the century. Somehow I've come full circle and I've really fallen for this song. I guess when you step back you really appreciate pop music for what it really is. This track has aged like a fine wine

My favourite Robbie song, melody and lyrics are gorgeous. It's actually helping me stay strong at the moment. This is not what the song was written about I know and I'm aware that he and Take That have resolved their issues (which is lovely), but I've gone no contact with an emotionally abusive relative who made me feel terrorised, and every now and then when I feel the urge to contact her because I feel sorry for her, I just play this song. The lyrics describe the way she treated me pretty much verbatim.

¿Qué se puede decir de este hermoso canto existencial, que me parece la cima del talento de esa gran estrella que fue Robbie Williams, y uno de los mejores videoclips de todos los tiempos? Un clásico que se va agigantando con el paso del tiempo. Obra maestra absoluta.
