"Getting to the top of the mountain and realising there's nothing there." That's really quite a profound way to describe his position. Great pod Rob(s)!

He's missing out the part where he was an absolute moronic wanker when he was a 'kid' and the fact that he has no talent- let alone musical talent. If you feel so bad, give one of your houses away or some money! Some people have neither or less, you cunt! You don't have depression either... it's called a conscience you fekin dumpster baby.

The comic timing in the first five minutes is gold. Robbie insisting Rob puts his feet up, Rob trying to work out if anyone named Rob has a knighthood. Great chemistry.

I saw Rob Brydon aged 11 at Edinburgh Festival, he signed a poster. He was lovely to everyone and I'll never forget it. He asked me if i was welsh because of my name and I just didnt know what to say but he was kind and funny.

Great interview and yet another lesson in how fickle a friend fame can be. As Debbie Allen said in the Fame tv series: "You want fame? Well fame costs...". Rob, Robert and Robbie have all had to pay a price for being successful. It's good to know that h'es coping with it better these days.

My wife worked on a show he wrote the music for. He turned up just once, very briefly with a big entourage (publicist, hair stylist etc) stayed for 5 minutes and then disappeared . Nice enough, but not a real ordinary person as he might have you believe . Trappings of fame .

Why is it that in this interview both people are talking normally, and their microphones are at least a metre from them, and I can hear every word. Yet in most podcasts there seems to be a need for the speakers to have their faces obscured by huge microphones and pop filters, and the mic is mere inches from their mouths. I wonder if it's just to flex that they can afford some high-tech sound equipment? edit: Just saw the lapel mikes. lol
