BigBoiCamran sure thats really unsafe but i as the car, hopefully, is not for videos only he will probably not vlog most of the time he is behind the wheel thus making the steering wheel the most dangerous thing in the car, probably, at least i hope so.

Sleeves like that have been around since before the 1st Fast n furious. They're going to destroy those struts. When it bounces for a quarter mile after a small bump you'll understand why ppl dont like them. Keep up the vids. I enjoy seeing beginners to car repair/mods learn stuff. The project is coming along. You'll have a cool civic...one day. Lol keep at it my dude!
@Acridis6 жыл бұрын
Yeah that setup has been used since the 90’s. But since then the car community as a whole has learned and some of the best setups is a combination of different manufactures to make a custom coil over setup. They still are not cheap but matched with spring rates and dampening they are your best cost ratio. groundcontrolstore.com They use custom eibach coils, Koni adjustable dampeners and their custom coil over setup. They also have a conversion kit like what you have but with custom spring rates. They let you choose your struts you want to use.

I had a feeling those bolts were going to snap because its 90% chance they will lol. Both of my bolts in the rear forks snapped but luckily i had few bolts lying around and had brand new skunk2 lca (replicas). If you had a angle grinder all you needed to do is cut the bolt and get a hammer and a drift pin and wack it out :P

Very common problem with those braking bolts in the rear, all you have to do is remove whole lower control arm with coil atached
@magicpoptartz14364 жыл бұрын
The only time I’ve seen the same sort of setup was on an eg civic here in Ireland with like an airbag replacing the spring on the strut
@jaredpruitt54686 жыл бұрын
best bet is just drop the whole lower control arm is what id recommend new ones for aesthetics, however your more than welcome to go polyurethane. the rear bolts have the spline from factory that always corrode over time. seen my fair share of them . cheers though fun watching y'all work.
