I think for a Harrods advent calendar this is really decent value for your money. Harrods is a British shop known for luxury products so yeah, you are going to get 3 different types of tea. I do wish they wern't all black but black is the preferred Brit kind I suppose. If I were a regular Harrods client( ie if I earned a couple hundred thousand quid a year)I wouldn't hesitate to get this calendar. Although I do agree that the pen and note pad should have been in the same door. Also, just as a note, the notepad is quite good for grocery lists
@RobbieKnox2 күн бұрын
It would be a lovely experience opening it day by day I think. Particularly if you had no idea what was in it in advance.

@seraphiccandy212 күн бұрын
@@GA-fz2wt If you bought all the items individually at Harrods you would pay more then 250 for sure. Compared to 95% of other calendars this is a really decent one. You are getting (mostly) solid and quality items. For instance most loose leaf tea is whole dried leaves where as tea bags are often crumbled leaves of lesser quality. Alot of calendars come with cheap tat that you are never going to use and thats produced for pennys in China.

@RobbieKnox5 күн бұрын
Yeah, I think if you got the individual bits it would be more. Still, £250…
@ManWalksDogs4 күн бұрын
well yeah but that's basic shop economics; they want you spending big, so you spend more to get better value for the quantity, whereas the smaller, individual items are a poorer price per gram/ml/whatever unit is applicable. if it was the other way round you'd only cherry pick the few items you were interested in and overall spend less, which isnt good for them.

I'm from Texas, I was born in 1980 and back in the 80s my parents took us on our first trip to Europe. We went to London, Germany and Scotland. Ever since I've been absolutely obsessed with London and felt I belonged there in the deepest sense instantly. One of our outings was to Harrods and although I was so young I still remember most every bit of it. My parents bought us shoes there and we sat on the plush horse heads to get our feet sized for shoes. Does anyone else remember the children's shoe department like that in the 80s? I've also been trying to figure out what the hotel we stayed in was. Both my parents have passed away and I never got to ask. The only thing I have to go on was our hotel had a large Pacman shape on the sign you could clearly see. I remember this detail so specifically because my parents had rented a car and got lost and couldn't remember how to get to our hotel and I told them it was the one with a big Pacman on the sign and they were able to find it. Can anyone help me figure out what that hotel was? I believe it also had a grand staircase with red carpets. I also want to add I've been obsessed with Harrods since then and that mug would mean so much to me to own. You guys are lucky to live close enough to visit just for fun. I have no souvenirs from there and have never been back to Europe since. It's been a life goal of mine to go back and relive that trip. I'd love to live in the UK and like I said I always felt I belonged there somehow. You are giving me all the warm and fuzziest watching this video. I'd definitely love to have this advent calendar, just for the nostalgia that place holds for me. Thanks for the post even if you think it's an overpriced place for stuffy old people lol. I love to watch all the content creators who make Harrods content. I frequently watch one named Hannah Ricketts and it's not Christmas for me until I watch her tour of Harrods every year at this time so I'm guessing that's how this ended up in my algorithm. Anyways cheers to you for this fun to watch different take on the store 😂

Thanks for the realism. Having minimal Christmas budget this year (thanks government) I’ve had to enjoy Christmas via watching videos, hence why I’m here. But it’s annoying when people are very out of touch. Loved your more sensible reaction. Lots of calendars this year have had genuinely beautiful packaging designs which I’ve really enjoyed, but the contents are almost universally lacking. I’ve not bought a calendar for years, I’d rather spend my budget on things I can choose. No idea where I’m going with this comment now, I guess it’s just nice to see others who aren’t particularly buying in to the hype.

Yeah, it’s a lovely calendar but it’s a huge amount of money. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I have watched an unhealthy amount of advent calendar openings this year, this was by far the best imo, also... what does make a marmalade taste like Christmas..

Every time you complain about chocolate, I find myself screaming at the computer: "It's a bloody Advent calendar; of course there's chocolate!" Also, more chocolate is barely enough.

Yeah, I think we forgot that most people open it one door a day!

Definitely my kind of calendar - I loved almost everything in it.
