So, a few years back, I had a very expensive French lingerie advent calendar bought for my Christmas present. He had spent around £5000! However, the company rang him and spent half an hour asking him everything from my sizes, to colour preferences, to the type of perfume I wore. It was totally customised to me and seriously beautiful. Most standard advent calendars rarely work ..... Wrong perfumes, wrong make-up colours, dark chocolate not milk etc. I would have been very disappointed with all of these shown.

In the one I watched before I saw Mia open hers, some of the ornaments with the characters’ faces on them were printed in the wrong colors, like all of them were slightly pink/purple. Not at all justifying their products, but disney has extremely strict guidelines per business collaboration. I worked with them on multiple different brand products and it is INCREDIBLY difficult to move the needle on collections like this. Not sure about worth the price, lol, I get their Christmas release Lip kit every year and last yr it came W a pencil, a lipstick, a lip balm, and the gloss she had in hers all for $28. The yr before it was 3 or 4 different special release shades of the Pillow Talk lipstick with a pencil and something else, I can't remember what though, for about $25... So, they do have Christmas specials and I feel like the price tag on the calendar can be beat of you find their Christmas sets. I absolutely love her lipsticks, well worth the price and I tried her pillow talk pallet finally over the summer on sale for $40. Lol, being ya know, broke in this economy, 😂 I think you can absolutely do better price wise if you are good at sale hunting and patient enough to wait. Her products are Def worth the price, but also worth the wait when it goes on sale or they have special releases 😊

I can't believe that the swarovski Disney advent calendar was almost only christmas ornaments, for 1,800$ ! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure theyre very expensive and made of great material, and a lot of them were very cute , but to be able to really like an entire box of ornaments that you can only use in the Christmas season, that was THAT EXPENSIVE. I could never. I do think that if you were an ornament collector, (or Mia) you would really like it though. I really think they could've added a few more necklaces, or maybe a bracelet, or something more custom and special. Hi Mia, the Dior advent calendar is full of perfumes because it's the La Collection Privée trunk (one of their perfume lines). There's another trunk called Le 30 Montaigne which is cheaper and contain a more diverse range of Dior products.

Mama maples daughter is a adult but Mama maples speaks the same way I do with my toddler all day. Idk why but I love it. It's so comforting to still be that kind of loving supportive mother even if the child is a adult. Because Mama maples isn't crossing the line to being annoying but stays on the wholesome,kind and supportive side. I love her so much.

The money spent here could have changed peoples lives. They could have bought tents, sleeping bags, winter coats and warm socks and gifted them to homeless people, or bought Christmas presents for kids who's parents struggle with money at the moment - or both! - and done some actual good instead of funneling even more money to these awful brands. These thousands upon thousands of dollars spent here with taxes and shipping are ridiculous and could have done *a lot* of good. But no, they wanted to open advent calendars, but only open them. Not keep what was in them. Consumerism at its finest. First time I'm genuinely disappointed in Mia.

I was watching this video and my brother who was cooking in the kitchen came in and commented on how he loved Mama maples and Mia's interactions and relationship. He thought it was very sweet. It's so true though. I don't just love You Tubers, we often love their parents too and I do also think it's very sweet with You Tubers include their parents (if they have a good relationship) as they can be a part of what their kids are doing. :-)

Hi Mia ! Getting out of my cave to add some details about the Dior Calendar. I’m French, so I looked what it would cost if you bought it in euros and delivered it in France, AND ! Turns out, it’s 3k€ with free shipping, which is 4386 CAD at time of writing. So my theory is , because they have to ship it overseas, they added around 20% more on the canadian price so that you would pay for shipping without telling you directly 😅 it’s like the « 2$+ 0.99 shipping = bad, but 2.99$ + free shipping = good » phenomenon

Sounded do wholesome like a mama asking their toddler how a kids show Character is called because they watched it together and the mother is proud of having watched it together and having had such a wholesome experience.
